We went for dinner last night at Taj Mahal, and to be very honest, the food was just okay or average at best. I enjoyed the Onion Bhaji and the Red Wine (Protos), but the rest of the appetizers and the main course were mediocre. We specifically asked for our Chicken Tikka Masala to be spicy, but it was served sweet instead.
Even though the food was decent, the service was very poor. The person serving us was inattentive, never smiled, and displayed an unnecessary rude attitude. Despite the restaurant not being crowded, when we asked for Indian tea, he bluntly told us they didn't have time to make it as they were busy with other things, as if we were asking for it for free. After finishing our main course, no one came to clear the dishes or ask if we wanted dessert. When we asked for the menu and ordered Gulab Jamun, he simply replied with a blunt "NO."
We spent a good 230 euros, and in the end, only the red wine and Onion Bhaji were more than decent. These issues could have been easily overshadowed with a big smile, but the poor service and unnecessary attitude made things worse. I won't recommend this place to my colleagues. Sorry to write this, but I am upset with their service. Indian restaurants are known for their good food and excellent mannerisms, but unfortunately, it was...
Read moreGreat food, but there is a boy who has to do all the job, literally. There was a old man who just pass away and didnt pay attention to anyone. The young one is the only one for the whole restaurant. A very nice guy who knows how to work.
I would come back, since the food was very very good, but knowing that i will spent 3 hours when i usually eat in 45 minutes.
I ordered the buffet for dinner and they usually have troubles with that as he told me.
Come if you dont care to wait more than often and try to have a place inside since you will wait less (you will find more often the young waiter xd)
They pay the troubles with allowing us to take out the food.
Honestly, come and try cause its great food, just know that you will...
