TKO Tacos Clavel — Restaurant in Madrid

Food : Delicious tacos 🌮! The best one were arrachera since the meat was well seasoned. The margaritas are frozen ones so not authentic as there is no bartender.

Service: This is the unfortunate part of the place. From the start, the woman at the register was clearly done for the day (it was midnight) and had an attitude. We asked our communal table to be cleaned and got attitude and the table was still left with crumbs after the wipe down. The tacos were brought to the table by the same women who cleaned the table and just dropped them in front of us. No salsa or napkins offered. We decided to order more tacos and were told it would be to go and could not eat inside any longer even though the place closes at 2am. Was warned twice We could no longer eat them there. The same waitress randomly came and just took the plate without saying excuse me. Got my to-go tacos and was reminded I was not able to eat there. These tacos did have salsa but you will get charged additional money for take out.

Atmosphere: Really cool place but unfortunately, the women working there make the atmosphere unpleasant. The owner should hire more customer friendly employees. So much potential for this place with the...

If your passing by Madrid. Or if your on an adventure and need a good bite to eat. Take a stop here and you will not be disappointed.

The location is great. It gets very busy and the tacos and quesadillas you would want to order more at first. This is due to if not you will need to get back in line if you want more.

The staff was very friendly they speak Spanish of course and English for all the travelers. I orders two quesadillas, two al pastor tacos and then two carnitas. I also added a lime margarita 🍹 let's just say wow. For the price of all that food for less than 15. You can't beat it.

As for the food. I would go back again, a third and even more if I had the time. I actually stumbled across this place and the line was very long. Of course you can think awww long lines means it must be good. In this case yes it was phenomenal. Hopefully you give this place a try and if you do let me know.

Finally, for the review I will have to give this place a 9.7 out of 10. The fresh tortillas, to the great service and quality of the food. I will definitely go back to try it again.

The person at the register wouldn’t let us sit on a table and when we asked why they said it was reserved for “local”. When I asked how can someone reserve when reservations were not available she just insisted that we sit on the bar. As a group of 6 sitting on the bar was not preferred since there was a perfectly good table for 6 sitting empty. We talked to another person and they said you can sit on the table but only 45 minutes. Either way the food comes out super fast so 45 minutes was more than enough. We asked for the usual condiments they give on the side and they gave 1 tiny portion (in picture) of both sauces for all 6 of us, we kept having to ask for more, we did 3 separate orders(1 per pair) so least you can do is provide 3 portions of sauces. They also would allow us to sit on a table out side while our friends were ordering for us saying we need to order first which is fine but a Spanish couple came to sit on that table while one of them was ordering and the waitress greeted them just fine.
