An honest American tourist review: We came in here when we arrived into Madrid our first day. Place was decently busy for lunch but got seated right away. Staff was friendly but food was tasteless or just seemed to be missing authenticity. It was quite pricey for what we received. Here’s what we ordered: Mixed Rolls ordered as an appetizer but they were out so we were given a veggie roll option instead which was tasty but inconsistent in quality (some pieces bigger, more well built than others) Salmon Tataki tasteless, fish was too well cooked and the sauce was overpowering (too sweet) Vegetable Udon very disappointing, sauce was too sweet; honestly tasted like a microwaveable meal Chicken Kimchi Udon broth was delicious but you get very little chicken and the kimchi didn’t taste like anything related to kimchi Overall, we were very disappointed leaving Udon. Our bill came out beyond what we thought the food should had been priced at for a lunch place. I recommend trying someplace...

Then they got their drinks without paying (the couple also had drinks on their table before they paid). At this point I understood that it was because of our ethnicity ! How degrading ! Don’t recommend this...

The staff was okay except there was one Indian who was rude, not even knowing the basic manner as a customer service. I was holding a few euros of one Japanese beer and paying for it, but this Indian just simply answered: you can't take the drink out, you need to drink it here ( in a rude tone and firm voice).
If you were thinking about getting real Japanese food, forget...
