The food and drink was good quality but unfortunately the service and rudeness of the manager significantly let it down. Me and my parents came to enjoy a lunch. It took 20 minutes to be seated as 3 different waitresses asked if we required a table. Drinks ordering was significantly slow, we had to hail down the waitress after 25 minutes and the waitress seemed shocked the other two waitresses hadn’t taken it. Took another 15 minutes for this. I do admit it was busy at this time. The majority of food was lovely and would have happily eat at the restaurant again. I ordered the burger at €18 and requested medium rare. It took over an hour for the food, in that time having to chase down the waitress for additional drinks. The burger meat was stone cold. It was cooked perfectly rare to medium but that wasn’t the problem. I ate half of it as so hungry but started to feel uncomfortable as it was incredibly cold. I believe what happened was the meat was cooked and left on the side for too long, while waiting for the other food. I told the waitress she apologised, asked if I wanted anything else and I said no as had chips to eat and had been so long waiting, she took it away. When the bill came, we asked if the burger could be discounted given I was concerned for food poisoning about being stone cold. The waitress brought over her manager who v aggressive, I was calm and said I wasn’t annoyed about the food quality it was just the meat had been left for so long was cold. She got very angry and caused a scene, which was embarrassing for us, paying over €100 for a nice meal. She agreed to discount the burger but said I shouldn’t order medium to rare if I couldn’t handle it. I said that wasn’t the issue. I wouldn’t have left a review but how rude she was with my dad paying, slamming the card reader down, making us feel like second class citizens when we were paying for an expensive lunch. We rarely complain without reason and the way we were made to feel is not ok, I would seriously reconsider the role of the manager if you cannot...
Read moreI visited Alberts Cabopino today 11May. As an owner at MMBR I qualify for a 10% discount. The restaurant is a pleasant place to have lunch and the food is good as is the service. The table reservation was made on my behalf from MMBR as was the confirmation via telephone to restaurant at their request earlier today. I received a warm welcome and a helping hand into the restaurant from a young man as I use a walking cane. All good so far until it came to pay the bill. The bill was almost €50, not an insignificant amount for one person lunchtime. I presented my privilege card from MMBR and was informed that the card could not be accepted. I enquired why and was told that it didn’t have my name on it only the expiry date. I explained it was the only card I had other than my resort key card; baring in mind that the original reservation and confirmation had been made and given from MMBR. I asked to speak with the owner but apparently that wasn’t possible. I was given the third degree as to my apartment number etc which I didn’t object to. After much hassle and aggravation to me ( I am a lady if almost 80 years of age ) I was told in no uncertain terms that I was being granted a huge gesture and being given the 10% discount. I did remind the staff that I have a taxi to and from the resort costing me approx €25 I hardly come to Alberts for the discount on my bill, but if I am entitled to which I am I want to receive it. This whole experience totally and utterly ruined my day. Apart from anything else what poor business approach by the owner to try and forbid the small discount and upset a customer. This person deserves to fail in business. A poor show of business...
Read moreWent to this restaurant on recommendation but quite honestly, this was an uninspiring, unimaginative and bland main course. I had a chicken fillet with a crispy coating with some rocket salad costing €24 + one glass of white wine. Frankly, the best part of the meal was the Heinz tomato 🍅 ketchup which helped disguise the blandness of the chicken fillet and the blanched broccoli stems in teriyaki sauce which was cooked to perfection - firm & slightly crunchy retaining it's flavour & nutritional value. The food is more bar food then a proper restaurant with a decent chef. There are plenty of good quality restaurants within this area to choose from.
The role was tiny and the smallest I've ever seen.
The service was prompt and polite.
For the quality of the food I had, I thought it was overpriced and I'm guessing this restaurant was more geared towards the alcoholic drinks and marina views with it's motor cruisers.
Disappointing experience and won't...
