We visited Bar La Estrecho with high expectations after it was recommended to us and we saw its high ratings on TripAdvisor. Unfortunately, the visit did not live up to our expectations.
We tried the following tapas:
• Croquetas Caseras • Chorizo al vino Characoles • Ensalada de pimiento asados • Carne Mechada • Ensalada mixta con atún
The food was barely a three out of five. The flavors were mediocre and the dishes lacked that special something we had hoped for. The service was okay, nothing to complain about there. The atmosphere, in an alley at a standing table, was functional but not particularly inviting.
We had expected much more given the positive reviews. Compared to tapas bars in San Sebastian, where we recently were, this is almost bad. Any pintxos bar in San Sebastian outshines Bar La Estrecho.
In summary: a disappointment and not something we will...
