Da Bruno A Cabopino — Restaurant in Marbella

A nice meal but a bit of a mixed bag to be honest. We called on the night and inside was full so we took a table outside. Layout is very nice and the outside area is lovely. We ate early because we were tired but had to work hard to get the service, the waiting staff were not very attentive. We ordered wine and the sommelier suggestion we picked was spot on, a lovely Spanish Sauvignon Blanc. The starters we had were also very good, Jennifer had minestrone soup which she loved and the Prawns Pil-Pil I had was the best I have had on the coast. Unfortunately the main courses were a little disappointing, Jen’s carbonara was very salty and the rack of lamb I had was tasty but a little underdone. We didn’t get offered pepper or Parmesan for the pasta and had to wait to flag down a waiter. We had also ordered a portion of garlic bread for the main course but it was delivered with the starter, we pointed this out and asked for a fresh one for the main course and ended up being charged for both. When the staff cleared our plates it did not occur to them to ask why Jen had left 3/4 of her meal, they just didn’t seem that interested. Overall I was quite disappointed, given all the positive reviews we had higher expectations, maybe we were just unlucky. We will visit again as I don’t think we got their ‘A’ game on this visit, maybe next time. For sure from all Italian 🇮🇹 master chef's living in Marbella Mr Da Bruno and his restaurant are the most adequate suculentas of all Italian cuisines in the region. I had the privilege to sit with Master Chef Da Bruno owner of the house on table, their own vignoble white wine a particular grape fruity like a French Chablis is the perfect choice during the very hot Costa del Sol, Marbella middle of June lunch break. Seriously, la degustation des croquettes fromage jambon is to say it in French, yep because they should get their at least 2 Michelin stars for the entire restaurant that deserves from me 4 stars for overall service and 4 stars for the quality price bench compared to other 🇮🇹 cuisines in the City Marbella. Great atmospheric and very clasical typical great house style interior perfectly representing Italian mastery without fanfare and superficialité, moreover a place like a real Italian great house is usually, for Top people that want to feel cozy and get friendly mannered service first class meal on plate and table from les garçons, même le chef de rang knew his position to speak only the needed words and to make one feel comfortable and at ease in a class restaurant. Da Bruno, my dearest Da Bruno restaurant. I can never explain How much this place can offer in terms of the menu. You name the dish you like, they're gonna have it on the list. From sushi to Italian authentic meals, fab wooden baked pizzas with rustic style, Asian dishes of a great style, risottos to die for, cocktails made to perfection, even a little Italian shop can make you get real Italian food to cook at home with little bakery shop as well for morning bred and pastries. Day time or a night time with dress to impress you choose it. Price are in a range with tbe area. Mister Da Bruno the owner is very smart Italian man who is on the costa del sol since I know it and that dates back 17 years now. The place is busy all year round. Single eaters, romantic couples, groups, kids welcome as well, all class and just perfect. Oh the wine list is great. Cocktail bar on a very much fair level. Magic of dining on the costa. But what rocks the boat here is menu, drinks, home food delivery, friendly yet professional service, day time and night time design.
