We arrived at 9pm it was a lovely outside table. The margaritas are unfortunately iced and not a genuine margarita (it felt like a kids slush puppie) not great value for €8. The cerviche was really tasty, not available in a starter size. The tacos (pork) were fine but needed a kick of some sauce (maybe a hot sauce ) the ribs were also fine. There used to be salads on the menu but they are not on anymore. The pastel de tres leches was unavailable. There wasn’t other authentic Mexican desserts available. The meal is not the cheapest in Marbella and wasn’t as good as We remembered on 2019 visit. Maybe add salads back on the menu and offer a non ice version of a margarita. It’s a fab stylish restaurant but food is average.
Just updating this review to say the above is, as stated in the owners reply, all things that could be amended if you ask to go off menu slightly (a regular margarita and a spicier taco could be ordered) The restaurant is somewhere I go every year when I come to Marbella and I will certainly return on my next visit to try out the new salads, eat the ceviche again and other menu options I couldn’t try this time and enjoy an authentic Mexican meal for a change from tapas. Go with lots of friends so you can try as much of the menu as possible as you will want to try all the dishes they...

Read moreBooked a table for 8.30pm. Only one other table was seated so we asked if we could sit outside. “No! Those tables are reserved!” So, despite our being there, we sat inside. Admittedly he opened the window for us but it wasn’t the same esp as we were seated on high chairs.
We had a Margarita each but again, disappointed that a) they were frozen and b) they are pre-made from a slush puppy-type machine. That’s ok when the place is busy but it’s just lazy otherwise. Makes sense why, like the previous review, they automatically serve Frozen Margaritas…because it’s less hassle!
Menu for food was good but, despite a cheery waiter, it didn’t compensate for the poor fare on offer. One dimensional flavours, which is not Mexican to me. Tacos weren’t crispy which is how they were described on the menu.
Anyway, overall a disappointing evening. We were so looking forward to discovering a good Mexican restaurant in Marbella. Is there one?
Oh, and those tables outside that we wanted to sit on? they were still free when we...
