Came here with high expectations having been recommended to go by a friend from bilbao.
Upon entering we stood at the maitre d’s table waiting approximately 15 minutes standing watching the 2 staff on duty slowly go from table to table collecting dirty plates and serving food, id say the restaurant was at 60% capacity, during these 15 minutes none of the servers came over and say they’d be with us shortly or that they were busy they just ignored our existence no matter how hard we tried to gain their attention.
Finally someone came over and we asked for a table for 2, not having a reservation the server hesitantly sat us down and was quite unmannerly with the way she dealt with us.
The table was dirty with greasy menus and seemed no effort was put into setting it.
When the server came over she asked what we wanted to start and drink, and seemed stressed and distracted by the intercom system in the restaurant to talk between staff and she got flustered and said she’d take out main order when she came with the drinks.
We got small nachorreo as a starter for 11€ and it was served with chili and cheese almost cold however the aguacate and chili tasted pretty good, with that being said after paying 11€ for a measly serving of nachos and being in Andalucía which prides itself with fresh produce at every street corner I expected fresh ingredients for example the sour cream and parts of chili were not fresh.
After this we waited a whole 45 minutes surrounded by frustrated customers and tables with people’s scraps left on them before the main came, 1 Pigma with extra caramelised onion and 1 chipotle with extra queso payoyo both scammed into ordering the extras by the server who didn’t explain it was a replacement. Pretty neat technique by goiko, hats off to them.
The burgers were warm at best mine looked a bit sad (similar to a 1 euro burger from other fast food establishments) and chips tasted as though they’d been fried in cold oil and left from the day before. Sauces that came with them were good however again not fresh. Burger was cooked well and had good quality meat however cheese wasn’t melted and again who guessed not very fresh which is what I thought goiko prides itself over 🤔 Strange….
Was fed up by this point so opted to just get the bill and go, didn’t want to risk the deserts.
When we were paying the server charged us for someone else’s meal after paying we noticed and let her know, she rolled her eyes and told us “espera” and messed about in the back for a while coming out and asking if it was ok to give us the refund in cash. She then went away and came back with the cash difference and sent us on our way no apologies nothing.
All in all food would have been better if served properly and customer experience very poor.
Will not be coming back and don’t recommend anyone waste their time. There are many other fast food restaurants eager to get your money and who provide far better service and at a fraction of the cost.
2 stars instead of 1 because burgers were pretty good...

What truly raised concerns was seeing not one but * two cockroaches*—one under our table and another flying across the restaurant as we were finishing our meal. Needless to say, that completely ruined our appetite and evening. Service left much to be desired. There was a long wait between dishes, no one asked how we wanted the burgers cooked, and only one was sent back—mainly because we were too hungry to argue further. But the most frustrating part was the attitude of the manager, Maria. Rather than taking responsibility and try to sort out and understand the situation, she blamed the waitress who apparently was new and offered no real solution, mentioning that is normal to have coakroches as they are located in the main street and the door opens often... definitely a poor answer. She had to contact her manager in Madrid to take any further action.
It’s hard to believe that a business with over 80 locations in Spain would operate in a way where each complaint has to go through one person in Madrid. That doesn't reflect well on the company’s ability to handle guest feedback or take accountability. Sadly, the entire experience—from hygiene to service—was unacceptable. I've had better treatment and professionalism at...
Read moreLiterally barely had a chance to get inside. Asked if they were open before entering and the only thing NEMO (the host) said was you need to wear a mask to the bathroom. She spoke perfect English, so it has nothing to do with Spanish. I also asked in Spanish as I am Spanish.
Rude is just starting to seem like the standard in Marbella. There’s literally barely any professional trained staff, hospitality is out the door! I have been wanting to try this restaurant out for months now!!!
Just so happens the day we choose they have a miserable host in the front.
SO UNHAPPY WITH THE LACK OF HOSPITALITY!! If you don’t want the job don’t be there.
These restaurants need to care a lot more about their customers.
I don’t recommend this restaurant based of the horrible welcoming received!!
Zero Stars!
FYI I work with celebrity chefs. Standards are everything!
