Really confused by the positive reviews praising the taste of food at this restaurant. It is certainly not the best Indian food.. For all the spices in the Indian spice rack, the flavour of our meals was so disappointing. It wasn’t bad like where you couldn’t eat it, but it also didn’t taste like anything you could be glad to pay for. It was worse because our waiter boasted of the quality of the food beforehand justifying the prices when I questioned the size of the naan bread. The Naan bread is not really naan bread, it’s thicker and doesn’t go well with the sauce. Add rice and the littler flavour the curry had is completely diluted… The service, while friendly feels pretentious and arrogant after the fact, considering how bland the taste was. Marbella pasta with just oil garlic and parsley packs more flavour. The atmosphere is nice and the beachfront location is great. Personally I feel that this restaurant does not do Indian food justice and people who are none the wiser are being duped into believing this is ‘authentic’. Because of this, I also cannot justify the price. Sorry Jaipur, not good enough. I’ve had better Indian...
Read moreAs a regular customer, I would like to respond to Wendy Gidman's review. Rarely have I seen a person with such a disgusting manner. I was shocked with here very ordinary behaviour. I sat 2 tables next to this couple yesterday. They had made a reservation via The Fork, but were initially unable to provide confirmation. The owner asked about the confirmation. He was polite until this Wendy opened her vulgar mouth and said: I will show you, idiot! Wendy, you are the type of woman who takes advantage of situations and then posts bad reviews. And then as if it was aggression towards women. I think there's something loose with her. How stupid can you be if you don't bring confirmation of your reservation with you. I have never seen such a situation in all the years I have been going to this restaurant. And then take and post photos without permission. I visit this restaurant for more than 10 years. I know the staff and the owner. Very pleasant and polite people. Food is lovely! It is really a pity that rude people like Wendy try to damage the reputation of this...

Long story:
Travelled to many countries and had food in many Indian restaurants. Sure a lot of places had good food but almost all of them had great service, wonderful hospitality and the warmth you miss from back home.
Jaipur at Marbella has decent food but the person at the helm, Mr. Thakur is arrogant and rude. He oversold us telling us that the quantity we initially ordered wont be enough. He said that we will need to order all sabjis and dal at the same time since he wants his table to be not occupied for long and there will soon be enough crowd, even though there were many empty tables. When we asked for containers, instead of just telling us they are chargeable, he acted haughty. How you say it is equally important as what you say.
He didn’t get a proper check and just scribbled it down on a paper. When we asked for details, he told us “Do you not know how to read Hindi?” It was definitely not written in Hindi Sir.
A little courtesy and honesty will be very much appreciated.
Definately...
