Koi Marbella — Restaurant in Marbella

The place doesn't look like much from the outside, just another glowing venue of the golden mile. Nevertheless, when you go inside you breathe a nice atmosphere, a big open space welcome you with a vista-kitchen and middle low wall separation that ends in a beautiful asian fountain. In brief, a nice internal decoration that makes the difference from the so common outside.

The staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, in general, we were well served, at the beginning there was a bit of confusion but it was just because the restaurant was full. As for the menu, the election was wide, it is correctly classified and has a mixture of different well-known dishes from different asian cultures. We started with some oyster dumplings, that were tasteful, but nothing spectacular, flavors were bold but well balanced. A tiradito, that, personally I wasn't expecting much but it blew me away, super fresh ingredients were we could differentiate between tuna and o-toro and a tasteful crispy sauce that made the whole just delicious. But the star of the show were the lobster noodles, an absolutely 10 in presentation, flavour and portion...no comments, is simple but it was really good.

Honestly, I would come back just to taste some other dishes on the menu, but is true that full prices are a bit high, I understand that the area is what requires, but, when want to charge higher in some courses that they just have a very nice quality piece of meat, you need to have other appealing points that made the experience valuable.

Firstly, I have to say that the staff at Koi were incredible. The service and food were so amazing that my girlfriend and I decided to go twice during our stay in Marbella. The waiting staff — especially Amy and Christian, who served us — truly elevated our experience. They were both friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome and well cared for.

Amy’s professionalism and attentiveness stood out. Christian’s service and delivery of the meals were excellent; he made sure to explain each dish in detail, helping us appreciate everything even more. The cocktails and liqueur coffees made by Alex were some of the best I’ve ever had — especially the Porn-Sabi Martini and the Calypso Coffee.

Massive credit to the chefs in the kitchen (whose names I, unfortunately, don’t know) — every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious. The food was beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. There wasn’t a single item on the menu that disappointed.

Everyone either living or a tourist in Marbella needs to treat themselves to The Koi experience. It really is an experience, from the welcome in to your table to the prompt service with a smile with the Menus. The menu is a delight just to read and is extremely well laid out never mind to be lucky enough to choose what we wanted to eat. When the order was taken we were asked did we want a time break in-between courses, how thoughtful. The food arrived and not only a feast for the eyes but OMG for your tummy. I cannot recommend this restaurant high enough for so many reasons 🥰 they get everything million percent correct even better than correct. Much to our surprise and delight the bill was so reasonable compared to the quality and service that one receives 😍 Marbella is now too over priced every were you go and more and more people are complaining about it very much so ! Koi is incredible and I stand and take my Hat off to them, in fact we did stand in front of the Chefs and applauded them on such awesome food.
