ABSOLUTE WORST RESTAURANT. DO NOT GO! We were completely scammed out of 40 euros and left shocked by how this place operates. First of all, no one at the restaurant spoke English, which made it extremely difficult to communicate. Our waitress was kind of polite and tried to help, but it was impossible to get our message across. We specifically asked for the tapas menu and the drink menu only – and those were the only menus we were shown. We pointed to a few items on the tapas menu, including the Paella Valenciana, which was listed at €4. That’s what we expected — small tapas portions. Instead, they brought us full dinner-sized portions, which we never asked for, and then charged us €48. We didn’t even know a dinner menu existed. When we tried to ask what was going on, the main waitress became aggressive and dismissive, and the whole confrontation lasted at least 30 minutes. There was ZERO willingness to communicate, no effort to understand our point of view, and absolutely no transparency in what they were serving or charging. We felt completely trapped and powerless — and in the end, they forced us to pay the full amount anyway. And then, to top it off, the main waitress was laughing at the situation and started saying coworkers **we were “Polish” — and then started cursing in our native language. Absolutely unprofessional behavior. It felt hostile, xenophobic, and offensive. The whole experience was chaotic, and very unpleasant. No explanations. No apologies. On top of all that, the food and drinks were terrible. One of the plates we received was covered in crumbs, as if someone had just eaten a piece of bread on it before handing it to us. Avoid this place at all costs.

Had a very bad experience. Ordered a pork filé steak that was extremely undercooked. When i told the waiter he started lecturing me about how people like their meat cooked differently, such as medium rare, well done etc. And that i should have told him i wanted it well done. I told him that he never asked about how i wanted it, and also that you should never eat undercooked pork bc it’s dangerous. He disagreed, and his manager came out and said the same thing, that it is no problem to eat raw pork. I am stunned at how they could not know this, and even argue with a customer about facts.

“Indulging in the paella was an adventure in taste. The dish was a delightful symphony of various fresh seafood and spices, making each bite burst with flavor. The good mix of shrimp, and other ingredients. However, while the food was a star, the service left something to be desired. Although friendly, the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed, leading to longer waiting times and less attention to detail. Despite this, the incredible taste of the paella overshadowed the service hiccup, making it a worthwhile dining experience overall.”

Review for La Pesquera del Faro, Marbella

⭐️☆☆☆☆

I had high hopes for La Pesquera del Faro, especially given its prime location in Marbella. However, my experience was largely disappointing. Upon entering, we were met with a noticeable lack of greeting, and even felt ignored for a significant amount of time. The service lagged throughout our visit - from the delay in ordering drinks to the substantial wait time for them to arrive, and then the long delay before our food orders were taken. My attempt to place an order was unexpectedly cut short when the waiter abruptly left without a word, presumably due to technical issues with his PDA.

When our meal finally arrived, the quality failed to match the exorbitant price. The chicken with fries, in particular, was lackluster and flavorless. Having spent nearly 200€, we left the restaurant feeling unsatisfied and regretful about our choice.

On a brighter note, the redeeming qualities were the picturesque location and the well-curated music playlist. Sadly, these couldn't compensate for the overall...

Today I had the unpleasant experience of attending this place. While some of the staff were nice, some of them showed their indifference when I asked for the food We ordered. The order took very long time to get ready - as this wasn't enough it was incomplete when it arrived over. They took of course, good payment for it without delivering what we payed for. What it was presented to us was an unrecognisable mash of what seemed to be a mixture of burned fish and some lonely piece of fish and rests of coal. It was a torture to wait for the food- but even more disappointing to see how bad customer service can be in on this place. I do not recommend this place to anyone and I wish the management will take in account tha 4 people had the possibility to amend this failure - no one did anything but excuse...
