Maraboo Marbella — Restaurant in Marbella

We had to wait 1h10 min to receive our food ( 4 pasta, 2 of which were the same). The only explanation we received, upon inquiring about our food for the second time, was that there had been a problem on the kitchen. When we finally received our food, we noticed the two tagliatelle pasta had been replaced by spaghetti. This could not have been a big deal, but we received no explaination, and this place was shown as making its own hand made pasta, hence why we chose the tagliatelle . We were also very disappointed when we tried the food; all for of us had to ask for salt and pepper to try and add some taste. Everything was lacking taste, and the pasta themselves didn't taste special at all. My friend had ordered the pasta arrabiata, and it was just extremely watery, with no real tatse beside a hint of spice. The staff was trying to be helpful, apologizing for the wait and the pasta switch, and offering desserts for free, but here again we were disappointed with the tatse of the food. We took the strawberry cheesecake, and it just seemed really over cooked; the texture was off, way to crumbly, and it didn't really tasted like cheesecake either. Seeing how the other ratings are generally good, I'm not sure what happened that night. I understand they might have run into an issue in the kitchen, but I hardly see how that could have caused the lack of taste, the pasta change and the long wait all at once. My husband and I accidentally stumbled across this place yesterday in Marbella. First off the German beer they serve is the most amazing beer . Light in colour and amazingly easy to drink ! We were about to leave to eat elsewhere when we started talking to the manager from Romania . Forgive me i cannot remember his name. He told us about the charcoal grill they have for Pizza and steak. We were sold and decided to stay and give it a try as we both love charcoal. I ordered the serano ham and rocket pizza. Ask for their fresh homemade pesto on the side as this made it amazing ( the manager recommended it ) My husband had the entrecot steak . The juiciest and most tender steak we have had in a long time , plus the baked potato was lovely and dry not like the wet soggy ones served in alot of places. The prices are very reasonable too.
