We were late for lunch and hungry so we stopped here without looking at all the one-star Google reviews first - big mistake. We paid around €25 each for steak and salt-baked fish. The steak was dry and overcooked as were the fries and once served the fish amounted to almost nothing. The potatoes were tinned and we got a few padrón peppers. Most of the staff were ok, but the older lady that served us was distinctly unfriendly in response to our friendly hellos - and a small but annoying thing was that it was hot and I asked for a small beer - they brought me a pint which was warm and undrinkable by the time I'd had half of it, like they wanted to squeeze as much money as they could out of us...hmmm... With a couple of glasses of wine, it was one of the most expensive meals we had. Anyone that knows Spain will know that you pay higher prices in Marbella, but you can expect to get something decent for it. The one thing it had going for it was the beautiful square it is set in - Plaza de los Naranjos. If you want to get rolled with the rest of the guiris, go here. If you don't I'd recommend just about...
Read moreI went to the restaurant with my family and the experience was not good at all. The waitress was so unprofessional, I asked for a Paella dish information and he was mean to me. I told him I was not from this country I don’t know Spain dishes very well. He was like, we have all kind of Paella dishes in town (yeah right😠). The Paella the rice was uncooked, unflavored, overall nasty. I asked chicken breast for my son, everything unflavored cold as hell, they probably microwaved it. The lamb chops was all bones, no meat at all. The waitress was making fun of other clients due to its glasses he didn’t realize i spoke spanish. Don’t recommend at all. Last but not least, waiting for the food like half an hour, and never were asked for another refill of beer. Very Very disappointment. Expensive as a mother….. Keeping it real for all...
Read moreWe had a very pleasant meal at this charming restaurant located right on the lively and cozy Plaza de los Naranjos. While not every dish stood out, overall it was an enjoyable experience.
The highlight for us was definitely the fried calamares – crispy, fresh, and full of flavor. The boquerones were a bit bland for our taste, but the tortilla de patatas and croquetas were both nicely done and satisfying. As for drinks, the sangria wasn’t quite to my liking, but the house cava was a pleasant surprise.
For dessert, we shared the lemon tart, which was delicious and refreshing. We also tried some simple Magnum bites – a fun and easy treat to finish the meal.
All in all, a nice spot with a good atmosphere, perfect for people-watching while enjoying some...
