Absolutely incredible food, top service, very friendly owners. Gorgeous, quaint laneway, a little hidden but just off the square. Since the first day of our vacation we noticed how lovely it was and always full tables. So we decided to book a table and so glad we did, last available table. So this place is popular. We decided to share everything because myself and my friend enjoy tasting it all. To start we shared the beef carpaccio, very tender beef! Delicious light lemon dressing, rocket and Parmesan. Then the garlic king prawns which wasn’t like the pilpil you get every where else. These were king prawns in a tomato and garlic reduction. We were scooping up every last bit with the fresh bread rolls. Then onto the ravioli for mains. I’m not a big ravioli person but omg these were the best ravioli of my life. Absolutely drool. An amusing mishap was we had ordered the Gorgonzola ravioli and accidentally we received the beef ravioli. But by the end of the dish we were thanking the embarrassed waitress for the mistake because it was that good. And I said to my friend, doesn’t matter what you order in this restaurant, it obviously all delicious. Then we shared the carbonara. This was divine. A small portion one might think at first but it was so full of flavour and rich it was enough to share. The crispy pork cheek made it. We enjoyed a lovely bottle of red with the meal and we were served a complimentary limoncello at the end. No space for dessert but I definitely would have ordered...

It started with a very special soda as I never learned how to appreciate wine. It followed with a complimentary Lentil Soup that I could tell was cooked for many hours to reach this perfection. Then came the bread and an olive oil that spoke a language none of us knew and an explanation by a dedicated member of staff whom too was fond and passionate about why he did his job. The food takes time to prepare and to be presented for the presentation was created a d prepared by someone who knew those who appreciate will enjoy and boy we did for the Beef Carpaccio tingled all the taste buds in my mouth and the Caponata can only have been created and crafted into perfection by a Sicilian who's wife enjoys the many stories not for getting that magic Caper on top. I ordered the Carbonara and I'm glad I did for it came with a Crispy Cured Pork Cheek. I ate it very slow because I simply didn't want to swallow what I was chewing and my guest were having the same thrill. It's not about money or how much each dish costs. It's about when are my friends coming so that I can bring them to Sicily which I found in the heart of Old Marbella. Prima di entrare in questo bellissimo ristorante devi leggere come esprimono la passione che hanno creato per i loro ospiti, clienti dedicati e nuovi arrivati come noi. È iniziato con una bibita molto speciale perché non ho mai imparato ad apprezzare il vino. È seguito con una zuppa di lenticchie in omaggio che potrei dire è stata cucinata per molte ore per raggiungere questa perfezione. Poi sono arrivati il pane e un olio d'oliva che parlava una lingua che nessuno di noi conosceva e una spiegazione da parte di un membro dello staff dedicato, anch'egli affezionato e appassionato del motivo per cui faceva il suo lavoro. Il cibo richiede tempo per essere preparato e per essere presentato per la presentazione è stato creato un d preparato da qualcuno che conosceva coloro che apprezzano si divertiranno e ragazzo che abbiamo fatto per il Carpaccio di manzo mi ha formicolato tutte le papille gustative in bocca e la Caponata può solo essere stata creata e realizzato alla perfezione da un siciliano la cui moglie gode delle tante storie non per aver messo quel magico cappero in cima. Ho ordinato la carbonara e sono contento di averlo fatto perché è arrivato con una guancia di maiale croccante. L'ho mangiato molto lentamente perché semplicemente non volevo ingoiare quello che stavo masticando e il mio ospite stava provando lo stesso brivido. Non si tratta di soldi o di quanto costa ogni piatto. Si tratta di quando verranno i miei amici in modo che io possa portarli in Sicilia, che ho trovato nel cuore della Vecchia Marbella. Read moreThe most unfriendly I’ve ever been treated in a REAL restaurant (as the owner claims they are). We each just wanted to order a main course but got snubbed by the owner as it was not possible and she would make us wait 1,5 hours minimum if we didn’t order a starter. She told us to just order a salad or something as a starter. We were too stunned to speak and told her we would have another look at the menu. Then she made us wait 30 minutes before showing her face again. After telling her we really just want a main course she told us “we are a real restaurant darling, that’s not possible”. So we just got the check and left.
