Trocadero Playa — Restaurant in Marbella

I have been coming to Marbella my whole life, and I am quite familiar with this restaurant/beach. I have always come here but never bothered to review it because it was the norm for me, a place of good memories. But I will never come here again and your experiences might differ but this is my honest version. I was almost done with my meal when I was interrupted in a rude manner by a hostess whom I have never seen the whole time I was here and asked to wear a shirt, please bear in mind that I have been sitting for well over an hour and a half and on the terras. She started giving me a whole lecture on how it's the rules etc and I kept trying to explain that I have been here and no one told me anything and that I would gladly after I fish my dish I'll get my shirt because I don't want my food to get cold. She would not hear it and called her supervisor and called the owner. Out of respect I got up and got my shirt. At the end of the day I would adheer to the rules of any establishment gladly and would recommend that everyobe does the same. I have a combined bill of well over a 1000e. And I would like to have clear communication and instructions, not be subject to the failure and miss communication of the staff. They gave me my table and said nothing took my drink orders and said nothing, they took my food order and said nothing, they gave me my food and bread etc and no one said anything. But an and a half later they ask me to but on my shirt and in the most demeaning manner. I will never come here again and this has left a bad taste in my mouth. I like to be treated with dignity and respect. So my recommendation if u want to be treated with respect and dignity skip this place I will from now on, if u don't mind just watch out. I was robbed by the restaurant itself - worst experience of my life

Last 29 July I went to this restaurant for dinner. When I was paying the bill, I put the card in the ATM terminal, but it showed some anomaly and did not issue the payment receipt. Although I told the waiter that the payment had been completed successfully, he insisted repeatedly that it was necessary to repeat the payment because it certainly had not been completed. The waiter quickly went to get another ATM terminal where the payment was repeated and this time the receipt was issued. What happens is that I was charged twice for my dinner. When I realized this situation, I contacted the restaurant via email explaining the situation and asking to be returned the amount incorrectly charged. the restaurant never even deigned to answer my email, or to return the amount charged in excess. This has a name, it's called stealing! In all my life I've never passed through such an unpleasant experience as I had in this restaurant, which takes advantage of tourists to steal money from them by charging several times the amount of the bill. Education, values and ethics are things that money can't buy, even in Marbella where money abounds.

I contacted my bank, which immediately offered to resolve the situation and I was returned the amount in question by the bank, not by the restaurant, which should continue to steal...

People Are friendly. You can Bring your dog. But they made a mistake with my drink order twice that I just have to give up and take what they gave me. Food is ok. View is great. Though if you sit outside near the beach be careful of the kids playing around with the sand. We got got hit by the kid who doesn’t seem to have seen sand before. So glad it just hit my friend’s head. Parents said sorry but didn’t stopped the kid from playing. So we ended up getting all worked up thinking we might get hit again. Staff seemed not to care about this situation. It was the last time I went then since coming there almost everyday

Never learned our lesson. Since it’s very near our house, we decided to give it another go. The staff are friendly at first until we complained about our food. The tuna tartare is so fishy. The waiter didn’t speak english so I tried my best to explain. He replied because it’s a fish so it should taste fishy. The foie with brioche is as bad as it is uncooked in the middle which he just laughed saying that’s how it supposed to be. I just told them to take it away and I’ll pay even though we only had a bite. They did remove it except the Tuna tartare in the end.Everything including the drinks are the worst today.
