We’ve been coming to this restaurant yearly for 5 years or more, and Gran Canaria for maybe 15 years. While the quality of the food has never changed and I would give that 5 stars, the service is nothing short of diabolical. On our last visit the female waitress proceeded to tell my 66 year old mother in law that she was drunk even following her outside to carry on her insults. Today we gave the benefit of the doubt and re visited. Again poor attitude from the female waitress who could barely raise a smile, when anyone who knows Gran Canaria knows it for its friendly people and great service. Be warned you will get none of that in this restaurant! While the food remains good, the service is very poor, with this lady appearing as she is held there against her will. This is such a shame as many other restaurant and bar owners know us as frequent visitors and welcome us with open arms, while this lady rolls her eyes. I will never visit again. Every restaurant in Gran Canaria will offer you a complimentary baileys or rhon miel after a meal, net here even though we’ve had them in the past. Large bottles of cobra were charged out as King Cobra which anyone knows are two different things
In summary food good, absolutely...
Read moreI ate here twice whilst on holiday, the first time we had a family meal in the restaurant and the food was very good, however, when we received the bill we noticed they were the only place we had ate at to add the tourist tax and some other extra charge on to the bill that they didn't need to do as a business. Only the places that want to rip tourists off do this. We ate well informed on this and holiday in the canary islands a few times a year. Shanti Indian .....What a let down. I did have a takeaway for 1 too (- because I wouldn't want them to add all the extra charges on if I ate in again). I ordered 2 curries, a rice and a naan, the guy on the till tried to charge me €39.90, luckily I noticed before I paid and queried this, I clearly annoyed him and he shaved the receipt at me saying there was no mistake in the price- I looked and he'd charged for 3 curries!!! When I pointed this out he apologised for his mistake and rectified it. But I wondered, was this really a mistake or were they trying to rip me off AGAIN. Based on this....
Read moreLocated in the Europa centre is this hidden gem, this place serves delicious food and at a price many will find hard to beat. The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable.
Service was average but the food more than makes up for it, the onion bhajis are crispy and packed full of flavour. Whilst the chicken pakoras were crispy and yet succulent, the only issue I had was that the chicken in my madras was on the chewy side which let the food down slightly.
The vegetable biriyani was crammed full of tasty vegetables and the accompanying sauce was fiery. Whilst the garlic naan was doughy and fragrant, all in all a great place to eat and if you’re looking for value for money you need look no further...
