Picasso Mojacar — Restaurant in Mojácar

This place is a must try for anyone visiting or passing through Mojacar. Let's start off with the wings. I order wings anytime it's on a menu wherever I go. These are some of the best wings I have ever had! They're crispy on the outside and tender inside. They have that buttery rendered chicken fat taste that is complimented with just the right amount of seasoning. I suspect it's Old Bay, but I am not sure. The next great find....THE FRIES!! Wow! These are the best french fries I've ever had. I think maybe they use garlic salt but I'm also pretty sure that they were fried 2 or 3 times to get the crunchy outside soft inside consistency. I had the Cubano Sandwich which was very good. I really liked that they used pulled pork and the bread seems homemade here. ALL of the bread, and buns are excellent! Bad bread can ruin a good burger or hot dog.

I suspect that the owner is a chef. Whoever is in the kitchen and devised this menu really loves cooking and cares about his/her craft.

This place is only found using Google reviews and maps as there is no signage from the main thorough fare and it's on the second floor of office buildings.

They also have a small play area for the little ones while you wait for the food. They brought the kids food out...

Eine Katastrophe auf ganzer Linie – Hände weg von diesem „Restaurant“!

Ich schreibe wirklich selten Bewertungen, aber was wir hier erlebt haben, war so miserabel, dass ich andere davor warnen MUSS.

Wir waren mit unseren Kindern dort und haben über eine Stunde auf unser Essen gewartet – und das, obwohl der Laden nicht mal voll war. Für Kinder eine absolute Zumutung.

Dann kam das Essen: Burger-Fleisch nicht durchgebraten, fast roh innen – absolut verantwortungslos! Die Pommes waren ein Witz, eher labberige, fettige Kartoffelreste als irgendwas, das man als Beilage servieren sollte.

Und selbst die scheinbar einfachste Sache – eine Pizza Margherita – war ungenießbar. Billigster Käse, völlig geschmacklos, eine absolute Beleidigung für jeden Italiener. Wie man es schafft, sogar eine Margherita zu versauen, bleibt mir ein Rätsel.

Der Service? Eine Frechheit. Lustlos, unfreundlich und komplett überfordert. Und als Krönung: Unsere Kinder wurden im sogenannten "Indoor-Spielplatz" – wenn man das überhaupt so nennen kann – angeherrscht, sie sollen „leise spielen“ oder „ganz aufhören zu reden“. Hallo?! Es sind KINDER!

Nach dem Essen kam das böse Erwachen: Bauchkrämpfe, Übelkeit, Erbrechen. Der ganze letzte Urlaubstag war im Eimer. Statt Strand – Magenverstimmung und stundenlanges Leiden.

Fazit: Das schlechteste Restaurant, das ich je in meinem Leben besucht habe. Eine absolut schreckliche Erfahrung. Kein Verständnis für Familien, kein Respekt vor Gästen, keine Ahnung von gutem Essen. Hätte null Sterne gegeben, wenn das möglich...

EL PEOR SITIO DONDE HE COMIDO EN TODA MI VIDA. Fuimos por las valoraciones, pero fue una decepción. Nos hacen esperar 48 minutos para servirnos 2 simples platos. La comida no es nada especial y no está tan buena. Fijaros que las reseñas positivas son casi todas de gente de mojacar... Hace sospechar. 1 sola de ellas les ha valorado más de 190 veces!!!! En principio parece mucha cantidad, pero luego no es así. Saben como abultar los platos. El camarero un chaval sin experiencia, aunque muy amable. Los cocineros SÚPER LENTOS. LOS CULPABLES DE TODO. No paraban de charlar entre ellos. Y no cocinaban nada. Sólo dan vueltas y más vueltas. Ah, y ligar con la camarera. La barra del bar llena de platos y vasos sucios sin recoger. 1 familia se levantó y se fue harta de esperar. La reacción de los camareros y de la dueña?
