Bar Juan — Restaurant in Murcia

I wanted to add another viewpoint of this bar, because the many incredible reviews are a bit misleading. My hotel is just a block away so I was looking forward to enjoying this 5 star bar for the week of my stay. I was there on Saturday, the hours are until 5pm. I had a coffee, Juan says we don't have macchiatos, but you can have a coffee con leche, okay, whatever, it's espresso and milk. I think he was annoyed I didn't speak spanish, my bad. I then asked for Estrella, which is his only tap beer, I am standing in front of the tap pointing to the tap and saying estrella, and he kept saying huh? until finally he said, oh you mean a beer. Yea, and since he sells bottled beers as well, saying estrella and pointing to the tap seems clearer than asking for a beer. But he is clearly annoyed and looks at the clock. Closing? I ask, and he says yes. It is 2:45, and I wanted to order food but that was out of the question now. It is a tiny tiny place, not much room for more than a few people. I think maybe the reviews are...

Hoy por primera vez he visitado este bar, que más que un bar para mí es un buen sitio de tapas. Laa verdad es que he ido por recomendación, ya que la persona que lo regenta no es otro que el alma durante más de 40 años de otro sitio mítico de Murcia, una persona amable y cuidadosa de sus tapas y de sus clientes Cuál ha sido mi sorpresa que como plato del día hoy el Sr. Juan tenía arroz con conejo y caracoles...increíble pero cierto, buenísimo, hacía tiempo que no comía un arroz así Pienso volver ya que me he quedado con las ganas de probar la tosta de rulo de cabra Muy muy muy...

Sitio acogedor y agradable en el que puedes tomar café, desayunar y/o almorzar súper bien y quedarte satisfecho.

Buenos cafés, dulces, tostadas... y tapas ricas; recomiendo, especialmente, las empanadillas, así como la magra con tomate y la tortilla de patatas. Está todo riquísimo 🤤

Es ideal la variedad y, sobre todo, la calidad de sus productos. Calidad-precio de 10 👏🏼

Además, he de decir que Juan es una persona encantadora, muy amable y atento. Lo hace todo al gusto del consumidor y con suma educación.
