Read moreThis small restaurant is one of the best restaurants I ever visited and therefore a 'must-visit' in Murcia City. Here my detailed review after having dinner for 4 persons: Location: From the outside the nearby square definitely looks better and more romantic, there is no outside seating and the place is in a small dark street. However the inside looks really good so don't let the outside fool you. We were lucky to have the last table for the night. The restaurant is very small so I would recommend making a reservation. The airconditioning is quite cool inside which can be too cool for some people but it's better than the 30°C outside. Service: The staff speaks English which is not that common in the area (at least I think so) and they can explain more then a few basic words. Everyone is extremely friendly, they work together and they are quick. 10/10 Food: The food is very tasty, Spanish and they is enough choice. You can pick small bites or bigger meals which you can always share so you can do it however you like. I really recommend the "paparajotes murcianos" for dessert, but definitely ask the staff how to eat them! Compliments to the Chef! Finally: The pricing is not cheap but very reasonable for the food you get. Thank you La Tapeoteca, I would...
Read morePretty dire. We got there and weren’t sure what to go with so ordered a few things to get us going, 2 servings of tempura prawns and 2 of the croquets along with the boneless chicken thighs and the Spanish omelette. The 2 ‘servings’ of prawns turned out to be just 2 prawns for which they charged 2€ each (so 4€ in total) and the 2 ‘servings’ of croquettes was also only 2 croquettes, also for 2€ each. The Spanish omelette was the worst I’ve ever had, greasy and flavourless, and the chicken thighs again were a tiny portion even though they were apparently ‘to share’ these cost around 10€. Absolute rip off. We left after having these because of how awful it was and...
