During my recent visit to Playa de Muro in Mallorca, I had the pleasure of dining at what I can confidently call the best restaurant in the area. This culinary gem not only boasts a charming ambiance and impeccable service but also serves some of the most delectable dishes I’ve ever tasted.

The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly their grilled meat, a specialty that sets this restaurant apart from the rest. The moment the plate arrived, the enticing aroma of perfectly seasoned meat wafted through the air, promising a memorable dining experience. Barbecue enthusiasts, take note, Royal Grill is the place to be!Though they might be a bit tucked away and Google Maps might try to steer you onto a different route, you can easily access it via the main road. Upon arrival, the atmosphere and decor might not be overly impressive, but it's practical and functional.

Now, onto the positives, because there are plenty. Upon arrival, you're warmly greeted, and it seems like we were dealing with the owner, as everyone knows him and he's eager to chat. Feeling so welcomed in an eatery is a rare and wonderful experience.

The food is simply fantastic. All the meat is cooked on the barbecue, and you can taste it. My friend and I were both delighted with our orders; I had the grilled chicken breast and he had the lamb chops, and both dishes were flavorful and perfectly cooked.For starters, we had the chicken soup. While there are no complaints about the taste, the soup was extremely hot, requiring us to wait a bit before diving in. But again, no complaints, as the soup was ultimately delicious.

As a gesture of gratitude, we were even offered a shot. All in all, it was a fantastic dining experience, and I'd recommend it to anyone who loves a good...

Possibly the only place to get paella for one in the area! I'm a bit of a fussy so-and-so and one thing I can't stand is shellfish. The wife on the other hand loves any kind of seafood. Most restaurants in Mallorca tend to insist that paella is a dish for a minimum of two people and simply won't make it for one. But oh, that's not the case at the Royal Grill. We were served by a friendly mature guy - who might even have been the owner - and told a paella for one is no problem (it's always on the menu anyway). So the wife was sorted. But they offer a fish or mixed paella (fish with chicken) so I was still out of luck as I'd like to try a paella but with chicken only which was not on the menu. Well again, no problem, they were more than happy to do it. So we've both had our very first paella experience and it was very tasty, such a delicious combination of flavours.
