Junk garbage place to spent your holiday, expect yourself finding / enjoying a cockroaches or others funny stuff in any meals you facing in hotel restaurant.
Completely no way this hotel fall under the 4 stars category but only 2 stars , may be less. How come a 4 star with nothing provided in the room except cockroaches and mosquitoes
Sewage of the de muro area just adjacent to the hotel with a very strong smelling, such things negatively impacting the hotel restaurant and the quality of the served unhealthy cockroaches food.
Hotel restaurant have had a history of frequent inspections by independent suppliers for food poisoning which impacted too many hotel guests and this fact were known and recorded by the Balearic island Ministry of health and the hotel.
Every single day I saw a very dirty dishes in hotel restaurant and I decided leaving the all inclusive to them but to had nice meals outside the hotel . Just needs to understand how come guest since ages always finding a very dirty dishes, this indicates there is no inspections, no quality, no nothing in this dirty hotel.
Rooms were so tight with plenty of mosquitoes, toilets are other funny junk story with no privacy!
Very noisy hotel just like auctions 📣
Bed hard just like rook no way having sleep in such bed, bellows seems boughten from auction by. 2 euros.
You will got used waking up every morning with back and neck pain post sleeping in such bed and bellows
Air conditioning not working properly but even too hot, humid or vapor boiling!!!especially in this one they visited my room 1000 times with the same answer (we can’t fix, and we can’t control) 😂
Shower cartoon box changes temperature by itself to very hot , this is absolutely bad for baby’s.
I saw 3 cockroaches in my room and I asked front desk sending any to help they provide me with answer (no one can help)!
The room locker door broke with no help but the door sat unlock for more then 12 hours, when I asked the hotel manager on this scenario she replied ( it’s ok but no one can get to the room ). I really appreciate such junk mentality.
You will never finding any solution to whatever junk things you facing in this hotel
This junk hotel used sending an extortion e mail asking whom soever deleting his review if the review is below 3 stars and that’s why you facing only 5 stars
Chocked by viewing too many reviews were changed by the hotel guests, which is a child 👶 business by this stupid hotel management and all Iberostar.
I will take this hotel business with regards forcing guests changing reviews up to the google USA in my next visit to US for evaluation and punishment of this hotel and Iberostar as well, I have too many solid fact.
Nearby are too many excellent 4 & 5 stars hotel destinations including much...
Read moreA well-located, family-friendly hotel with wonderful staff — but some improvements would take it to the next level We stayed at Iberostar Waves Playa de Muro as a family with a small child and overall had a good experience. The hotel has many strengths, especially when it comes to location, staff, and beach access.
The beach is stunning — shallow, sandy, and clear, making it ideal for kids. Swimming is enjoyable and safe. The hotel’s pool area is also nice and only a few meters from the beach. Sunbeds and umbrellas by the pool are free for guests, which is a big plus. However, there’s a daily “towel reservation battle” — people reserve sunbeds early and leave them unused for hours. The hotel could really improve this by assigning staff to manage the situation more fairly.
On the beach, the number of public umbrellas and loungers is limited. If you manage to get one, someone claiming to be a municipal worker may come by and ask for a small fee — it’s not a major issue, but a bit odd and unclear.
The rooms and hotel infrastructure are not in their newest condition. While they’re clean and functional, the entire hotel could benefit from a more thorough renovation in the next couple of years. Also, due to the humidity in the area, you may occasionally notice a damp smell in the rooms.
What really elevates this place is the staff. Everyone is friendly and helpful, and the animation team is absolutely fantastic. A huge thank you to Katy, who created beautiful face paintings for our daughter every night. The entire Star Camp team deserves praise for their dedication and energy with the children.
As for the food, I would rate the buffet around 6.5/10 — it’s acceptable, but not outstanding, especially if you’re not a buffet fan. However, the Gust à la carte restaurant is an excellent alternative with far better food and service, definitely worth trying.
If you’re comparing this hotel to its more modern sister property next door — the Iberostar Selection Playa de Muro Village — you’ll notice that the Village looks newer and a bit more polished. But unless the price difference is small, this hotel offers better value for money.
One final point: if you’re arriving by car, be aware that the hotel has no private parking, but you can usually find free street parking nearby. We only struggled to find a spot once. If you’re driving an electric vehicle, you can use the hotel’s charger, but make sure to let reception know in advance.
Summary: This isn’t a highest segment luxury hotel, and yes, it could be improved. But the fantastic staff, great location, beautiful beach, and child-friendly atmosphere make it a solid choice for families. With better sunbed management and proper espresso machines at breakfast, it could be...
Read moreI recently stayed at Iberostar Waves Playa de Muro and overall had a good holiday, though there are some clear highs and lows.||Location & Beach – 5/5|The location is unbeatable. Playa de Muro beach is one of the most beautiful in Mallorca — soft white sand, shallow turquoise waters, and perfect for swimming. Being right on the beach is a huge plus.||Rooms & Cleanliness – 5/5|The hotel is modern, stylish, and kept spotless. Rooms are comfortable with good air conditioning and balconies. Cleanliness was excellent throughout the stay.||Food (Vegan Perspective) – 3/5|As a vegan, food was very hit and miss. Breakfast was repetitive (fruit, beans, toast, cereal, alternative milks). Lunch often meant chips, beans, fruit. Dinner varied a lot: some nights were great with a vegan corner (salads, hummus, stir-fries with pea protein, lasagna, pasta); other nights it was just bread and salad. Desserts are unbalanced — plenty for dairy-eaters, but vegans have to ask if anything is “in the back.”|The “healthy corner” (poké bowls, vegan wraps, hummus, ice cream) was consistently good, though repetitive. For a hotel that promotes sustainability, Iberostar could easily expand plant-based options and offer barista milks.||Drinks – 1/5|By far the biggest letdown. There are no fresh juices or smoothies. Everything is watered-down concentrate with aspartame, even the so-called smoothies. Cocktails mostly taste the same — syrupy and artificial. As a non-drinker, this was frustrating; I would happily have paid extra for fresh juice. In the end, I had to go to a supermarket for a decent drink. Drinks: 1/5.||Staff – 5/5|The staff were excellent — friendly, helpful, and polite. The Majorcans are genuinely lovely people, and Iberostar clearly chooses and trains its team well. This was exactly the same experience we had at their Cala Barca resort.||Facilities & Atmosphere – 4.5/5|The pools are clean and well kept, with enough sunbeds that you don’t need to wake up at 7am to reserve one — a big relief compared to larger resorts. The atmosphere is relaxed, never manic, and the entertainment is fun without being overbearing. Another huge plus: the layout makes everything easy. The beach is 30 seconds away, the buffet about 15 seconds — nothing is far, making it a perfect “lazy holiday” hotel.||Overall – 3.5/5|This hotel gets a lot right: stunning beach, spotless modern rooms, relaxed atmosphere, convenience, and outstanding staff. But the drinks are a serious weak point and vegan/plant-based catering needs more consistency. If Iberostar improved those two areas, Playa de Muro could easily be a...
