Restaurante El Tabal — Restaurant in Muro

We visited tonight as we passed many of times and it always looked busy so we thought that must be a good sign. It seemed tonight the staff were having some sort of party so wasn't really focused on the guests. We ordered our food I asked for my steak medium and it came raw with a slight cooked outer. I waited for a member of staff to come over but nobody was about as they were all inside cheering. They eventually came over (approximately 20 minutes after we finished) and just cleared the plates without any question if everything was okay. I barely touched my t-bone and to me that should of been an indicator that it wasn't great. My partners food was "okay" my son barely touched his sausage and chips after being told he couldn't have pizza. We listened as other tables were asked if they wanted a complimentary drink and we just got asked if we wanted the bill and yet again waited whilst the staff went off to celebrate. Feeling completely like we gatecrashed someone's party we left very disappointed. I appreciate there was an event for the staff but that shouldn't of impacted our meal. Maybe have it on an evening just...

During our week in Mallorca, myself, my partner and my mum had dinner here twice but with 2 different experiences! First evening, we came here for dinner and found the experience to be delightful! Tasty well-cooked food, good service, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. We enjoyed the steak so much, we visited again on our last evening hoping for a similar experience.

My partner had the mixed grill and we were so disappointed to be served raw chicken! After sending it back, they apologised but instead of cooking a fresh one, they put the chicken skewer back on the grill (reheated after cooling) and served it again, only for it to still be raw… sadly the table opposite also had the same experience! Even the steak was still mooing! We had €4 taken off the price of the mixed grill which was something of an apology but serving raw chicken, TWICE is unacceptable full stop and we should not have paid for that plate of food at all! Very disappointed that we planned to come back here a second time, only to have a worse experience! Sorry but we won’t be coming here again and...

The food was great, the service was fantastic, but let me tell you what set this restaurant apart.

We were dining with our grown children and our granddaughter. At the end of the dinner, she was causing a fuss, so we got up to leave and my purse dropped to the ground. Not only just a purse, a Louis Vuitton purse with cash and credit cards in it.

As I was using this person frequently during our vacation, I didn’t even realize that it was gone for about 36 hours.

We went back to the restaurant on our way to the airport, before it even opened and the owner/manager was there. Before I could even tell him in my broken Spanish that I had left my purse behind, he knew exactly who I was and went to get my purse. Not only was everything in my purse, I have been able to check to make sure that none of the credit cards were used since we’ve been home. I gave him all the euros in my purse as a tip. About 50. He didn’t even wanna take it.

So don’t only go for the food, go for the service, and know that this is a very honest establishment....
