After a long day exploring Malaga, we thought we would want a decent burger and a beer. This Irish themed bar in the old town seemed to be the best place to eat. We booked this prior to arriving in Malaga and we are so glad we did, although I don’t think we would have needed to book as there was plenty of space and free tables. Firstly and most importantly the burgers. They were fantastic, the 180 gram of beef pattie is larger than most places. We ordered the Cheese burger and the Smoke. They were both cooked to perfection, perfectly moist and juicy. The only thing that let the appearance down was the amount of skin on chips, we could have done with a few more. We were sat opposite the kitchen and could see the food being sent out and it all looked really nice, we would have gone back if we had been having a longer stay. If you want an amazing burger in Malaga, this is definitely for you. Great service, great food and good value for money.

Always a bit skeptical of Irish pubs, walked passed this place dozens of times and decided not to visit. Went in today to watch the Rugby and I wasn't dissapointed. Good Irish cider for 6 euros a pint, they also had Guinness and a good choice of beers. Staff were very friendly and hard working. Atmosphere was ok but there was a lot of English people there. No idea what the British Railway memorabilia was on the walls for, doesn't have any links to Ireland! Air conditioning was excellent and lots of plug sockets if you need to recharge

A fake Irish bar that lies to clients about live music & lies about why they don't feature ANY Irish musicians. After an email full of excuses which wasn't even signed, more lies & insults today.

As someone Irish living in Málaga, I approached Morrisey’s Irish Bar with a heartfelt suggestion: to consider *regular Irish music nights and *book more Irish musicians in general. This would have been great for business as well as for tourists, locals and expats. I'm a regular, I'm there weekly, over 4 years. Spent huge amounts of money over time there. They (no name given in communication) initially responded with fake warmth and enthusiasm — only to later dismiss the idea entirely, with a curt message telling me not to contact them again.

This is a venue that promotes itself as Irish — yet seems unwilling to support Irish music or even listen to the Irish voices in its community. They have had live music before, just not Irish. Why?

It’s incredibly disappointing when a place that claims to represent a culture ( & profits off it ) closes its doors to that very culture’s artists and traditions. Steals the identity of the Irish pub but builds walls that exclude actual Irish people living in Málaga.

We should support venues that authentically uplift the communities they profit from — not silence them. Irish music isn’t a niche request in an Irish pub. It’s the soul of our culture.

I share this so others are aware of the contempt and xenophobia I have experienced from the decision maker, I assume who is the nameless owner. So Irish clients/ musicians know where their presence and art is truly unwelcome.

Disgusting, insulting, but a common attitude from locals to "guiris" in Malaga. Reminds me that I will always be a "lesser than" to locals, even to ones who profit from the Irish "guiri" identity ie my identity.

I will never drink...

Absolutely abysmal. Quite possibly the worst restaurant / bar experience I have ever had. Booked via google when we arrived we were completely ignored after a battle to get a waiters attention he bizarrely moved a couple from a table to a different table and declared ‘this is yours’….the place was 70% empty, made no sense, at all! Ordered starters and mains - the mains were two rib eyes, I had to remind the waiter that you would normally ask ‘how would you like that cooked’, as it turns out I was wasting my time because the chef obviously cooks the steaks whatever way she feels like and whenever she wants….more on that later. Starters arrived, 5 minutes later half way through our starters the mains arrived - when we pointed this out we were met with a confused reaction. Mains taken back to kitchen to sit there until we were ready. My wife requested steak ‘well done’, arrived practically rare. We were never asked ‘how our food was’ it’s like they know, so why bother. Ordered a second drink which never arrived however it was added to our bill. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Its a plastic paddy, hard rock cafe effort. In terms of leaving a tip - sack the management, bin the staff and...

Well, it's not an Irish pub to start. None of the staff spoke English, much less Irish. It was an odd experience in a place that portrayed itself as Irish, but that is a common occurrence over here. I only googled an Irish Pub as I was in Malaga for the night and wanted to watch the Ireland U20s play Wales in the Six Nations. Needless to say, soccer was on, and I watched the rugby on my phone. Alot of people watched over my shoulder or came up to me asking the score. I shudder to think if they are aware of the GAA Championship. Yet saying that it is a pleasant bar with very nice professional Spanish staff and a very good atmosphere. Pints were a bit pricey at €5 but the next 'Irish Bar' I went to charged me €7 - around the corner..... It's no wonder I am much happier immersing myself in the local Spanish Culture, my next pint was €3. Same brand of beer in all 3 properties and all within a five minute walk of each other..... I digress Morrisseys is a perfectly lovely location and seemingly they offer food, I didn't know that until I left looking for a meal as there was no food menu within sight and I wasn't offered one by the staff. Definitely not...
