Would give 0 stars if possible! I wish I’d had a chance to read the reviews before visiting. I recently had what was, without question, the worst dining experience of my life. The food was shockingly bad. The only positive was that the dishes arrived warm, but that was where any semblance of quality ended. The squid was rancid, overcooked, and completely devoid of seasoning. The chorizo was excessively oily and unpleasant to eat. I’ve never seen Patas Bravas look how these did & the tortilla was burned & unpleasant. We only managed half of two dishes, and tasted a bite from two others. Unfortunately, it wasn’t worth continuing. The dining environment didn’t improve the experience. The restaurant was dirty, and our table was wobbly, adding to the discomfort. But what truly turned this into a nightmare was the service—or rather, the complete lack of it. Not once did a server check in on us after we ordered. After realizing we couldn’t endure sitting in this unpleasant atmosphere any longer, we decided to leave early and requested the bill. We explained that we only wanted to pay for the food we had eaten, but the unprofessionalism escalated from there. Instead of a calm resolution, we were met with utter hostility. Not one, but three waitresses began yelling at us in Spanish, followed by the shocking involvement of the waiter’s mother, who also joined in with verbal abuse. Despite our attempts to communicate via Google Translate, they refused to listen, resorting to threats of calling the police. It was bewildering and utterly uncalled for. To make matters worse, the staff were so entrenched in their arrogance that the only person who attempted to resolve the situation—the young waiter—was overruled by the shouting of his colleagues and family members. In the end, we paid for food we couldn’t eat simply to escape the aggression and dysfunction. As someone who has worked in service for many years, I have never witnessed such a display of poor customer service. The staff’s behavior was not only unprofessional but deeply disrespectful. They should be ashamed of how they treated us, and frankly, they should be embarrassed that a family member—who wasn’t even on shift—was involved in the altercation. This was a disgraceful experience from start to finish, and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. When leaving the restaurant we spotted tables littered with plates and glasses strewn across them and pigeons hopping around the plates & table covers. Truly disgusting inside and out of the building, as was the attitude of those...
Read moreNOT RECOMMENDED! A lot of heat, 3 hours lost and 2 interactions with the POLICE. I have visited Malaga with my family (including my little daughter who just turned 1 year and my parents both 60+ years old). In the middle of July the tempreture was about 40°. The family was hoping to have a nice calm lunch and a pint of cold beer so we hadded to Pepa y Pepe. On the wall of the restaraunt there were some recommendations a plate of fried sea food and traditional paella. We have pointed to the posters on the wall and order one of each inclduing some additional stuff. After a while the crew started bringing our food and we were suprised when they brought out 3 enourmous plates of paella. We explained that we have order just 1 to try and share but we were told that as we are 7 addults they and each plate of paella is enough for 2 they did some calculation and decided to bring us 3 plates of paella (priced at 22 euro each). Aiming to have our lunch we asked for a conversation with the restaurant manager and we were assured that he is coming soon... Surprise! Surprise! The staff that was pretending note to speak any English called the police and sharing a story of how a bunch of tourists are ordering food and are aiming to leave the restaurant without paying the bill. The police ladies came seeing my whole family having a lunch sitting and waiting for the manager to come. After decent 20 minutes of discussions the police ladies explained that we need to pay only for one plate of paella and left. Later when I asked for the bill I was given a receipt with 3 plates of paella regardless of the discussion with the police representatives. I was speaking in English and was responded in Spanish all the time after 40 more minutes waiting for the correction of the receipt I lost my pations and called 112 to get some help. After some back and forth on the phone with the local police the police ladies came back to resolve the issue. It turns out that the restaurant manager was already there but didn't show up. Right after the police came they provided the corrected receipt. Under other circumstances I would rate the food better but it had some bitter taste after all that happened...
Read moreWorst service ever, the waiter was a racist. I ordered a paella and he said, they haven’t started cooking it, it takes about 20 minutes. Then I order an octopus appetizer in the mean time. It was the most discussing food I ever eat. It was old and seemed to be reheated. Then I told the waiter give me the check, I don’t want anything else. He said I have to pay for the paella, I told him why I don’t want it, you told me they are cooking it for the entire day not for me specially. Who cooks just one plate of paella? Then he said I need to pay or they are going to call cops, I said go ahead. He ran inside and started to call them. I told him ok I’ll pay, this is a scam and ripoff. Then the owner just gave me a bill for the octopus and water. I told both of them the service was terrible. I also told the waiter he is horrible, change your job. Don’t work with people since you are unable to communicate. I saw how he treated the other non colored guests and he treated me like a dog. This is the worst experience. I will never ever get near this place and I don’t recommend it. I should’ve read the reviews...
