Next door bar — Restaurant in Nerja

As a sports bar, it's my absolute go-to, especially when Real Madrid are playing. The atmosphere here is vibrant yet relaxed, with a mix of people – from older couples enjoying a quiet drink to groups of younger fans, in a warm and friendly environment together. There's a refreshing absence of the raucous, drunken behaviour you'll find in English sports bars. The heart of this bar, however, is undoubtedly the incredible couple who run it. The husband and wife team are simply lovely, with a genuine friendliness and welcoming nature. The drinks are incredibly priced, but each one arrives accompanied by a free tapas that is simply delicious and surprisingly generous. It's a little slice of Spanish authenticity that I can't recommend...

Me gustaría acotar que no comimos en este restaurant. Seguramente la comida es buena pero nuestra experiencia en cuanto a la atención ha sido patética. Aún no entendemos cómo pueden tener la calificación que tienen. Primero entramos a pedir la carta y literalmente el chico que estaba en la barra me la tiró de mala manera. Fuimos a otros restaurantes cercanos y finalmente decidimos ir a comer a éste por las buenas calificaciones que tiene. Pues decepción total. Es que nunca nos atendieron. Cuando en varias oportunidades llamamos al camarero, desde adentro y con gestos de pésima mala manera, nuevamente el chico de la barra nos ha dicho que nos calmemos pero con patéticas expresiones. We only stopped for a drink. Staff very good and friendly. So glad the place is a success as we've had a holiday home in Nerja since 2008 and numerous owners have had this bar . We will be returning in February and this time we will have a meal. Well done in making this...
