El Bungalow — Restaurant in Palma

Trying to give my best honest review, but I'm afraid I have no words to accurately describe the experience - the food and serving here was a complete disaster to put it shortly and "nicely" ! Best thing is the view and that's it. (In all honesty, you pay for the view) I've been there 2 weeks ago, the place was partially empty, got completely ignored by every passing waiter and when we did got the chance to receive a menu we were "welcomed" with the most passive -agressive attitude I have ever witness in a restaurant (as in menus thrown on the table, almost being yelled at although the waiters spoke some English and I understand/speak some Spanish too, the communication shouldn't have been a problem at all but the lack of common sense and hospitality definitely was). The food came after 40-50 minutes which is acceptable if your order is complex and fancy, but we only ordered a paella. Now, the paella was eatable but as the other reviews here have already mentioned, it was not cooked as it should! (For the mixed paella, the pork meat did not smell, look, taste good at all). If you plan to go here anyway pleeease know the serving is not the "standard" one (meaning the waiter fixes your plate separately, on a nearby table and then you have ro wait for him/her to come back and add some more if you intend to finish the dish/eat everything you ordered). As other reviews also said, the bill was quite astronomical for the services and food quality provided! There are so many beautiful restaurants to choose from in Palma, please please please avoid El Bungalow at all costs if you want to have a lovely time at the sea!! 100% would never recommend this place (would only visit again if the management, services, food quality changes for the...

I really don’t know why people criticise the food or service here. We must have been to a completely different place. The food was honestly amazing. While it is a little expensive (it is mostly fish and the restaurant is literally next to the sea, so the extra price just makes sense), it’s really really good quality food and tastes delicious. We had fish as well as veggie food, both was great. Besides that, we had excellent service. Unfortunately I don’t know his name, but the waiter was so friendly and super fast, super attentive and considerate. Just superior service. The staff turned my girlfriend and myself away, even tho we just wanted to drink a coffee and then leave. They sighted the fact that the kitchen had "already closed the kitchen", and that those still eating their meal out on the terrace could do so. We found this quite irritating, as it dosent take long to drink a coffee and the kitchen dosent need to be open for this, the staff should be greatful for all the business they can get, given the situation. We went across the road to another restaurant for our coffee, then went for a swim in the sea beside Bungalow, when we were finished swimming we saw that in Bungalow there were still a number of guests eating!
