Mama Muú Steakhouse - Playa — Restaurant in Palma

I was a little concerned about the mixed reviews for this restaurant however I decided to give it a go. The staff were very friendly & welcoming. The sangria was great, I can highly recommend. My past experience of tapas in Spain is getting small plates of exactly what is stated on the menu (with no frills) therefore I assumed the same here. There was nothing stated on the menu about any accompaniments. However their ‘tapas’ was actually nicely garnished with extra potatoes and a very small salad. If the waiter had told me that, I wouldn’t have unnecessarily ordered extra sides which was way too much food for one person! Even the waiters were laughing about it when they brought it. The food could have been served a little bit hotter in my opinion but the presentation and quality was very nice. Although I had a pleasant experience with so many restaurants along the strip, I’m not sure if I’d choose this one again. We found ourselves a table in the restaurant but unfortunately had to wait quite a while before receiving the menu. Once we finally got it and had decided on our meals and drinks, it took ages again before we were able to place our order. After ordering, the wait for our drinks was nearly as long as the wait for the food itself. Had the place been busy, this would have been understandable — but it wasn’t. There were plenty of staff around, so the slow service was rather disappointing.
