Lili's Portixol — Restaurant in Palma

I was excited to try this place because of all the positive reviews. And to be fair, there’s no doubt they use quality ingredients. The burger my friend had smelled fantastic—you could actually smell the quality of the beef.

We started with some potatoes, which were nice overall, but the cheese on top was burnt, and that kind of spoiled the dish. The smoothies were a highlight—big, tasty, and refreshing. I really appreciated that.

I ordered the shrimp with spinach. Since I love shrimp in garlic oil—the classic Majorcan dish—I thought, “Interesting twist, let’s try it out.” The dish arrived looking absolutely beautiful: vibrant red sauce, fresh green spinach, and plump pink prawns. I was so excited, I even asked for a spoon so I could enjoy the sauce properly. The waiter seemed a bit surprised by the request, and I didn’t understand why—until I tasted it.

Unfortunately, the sauce was bitter. It had that unmistakable flavor of burnt paprika—something I’ve accidentally done myself at home, so I recognized it immediately. The spinach also tasted bitter, which made the whole dish a disappointment. I ate the shrimp, which were good on their own, but I was really looking forward to dipping some bread in that sauce—and sadly, that part was ruined.

Still, I think the place has potential. It’s worth a try, and I’ll probably give it another shot. But man, I was SO disappointed with that...

Absolutely dreadful evening at this restaurant. The bread and olives arrived with an insect in amongst the olives. The dip was most certainly not aioli. The rest of the starters were very average. The main meals were not good. Grilled veg on romesco sauce turned out to be three pieces of asparagus and some broccoli on a thick awful tomato sauce. Nothing like romesco. The chicken skewers were awful and served on a mix of tahini and yoghurt. It was inedible. The chicken contained several bones. There is no ambience to this place. It is more like a cafe than an evening restaurant. Check your bill thoroughly. We were charged for more glasses of wine than was ordered. We complained and were offered a pathetic 10% discount and the wine we had been overcharged for was removed. It was still an extortionate bill for the food we were served. We do not mind paying for good quality food but we came away feeling totally disappointed and very unhappy. We would never return...

-Estafa para turistas- Hola, sinceramente nunca gasto mi tiempo en entrar a valorar un negocio pero esta vez no puedo dejar pasar la ocasión. Resumiendo lo de ayer en una sola palabra resulta de: Lamentable. 13h del mediodía, mi novia y yo decidimos ir a tomar un almuerzo de domingo frente al mar. La mesa que cogimos era muy agradable, en sombra y daba la brisa. Nos atienden rápido; pedimos un smoothie y un café. Tardaron entre 8-10 min en servir (ok, vamos sin prisa porque es domingo y venimos con actitud de disfrutar). En el mismo momento de pedir bebida pedimos también de comer; ella una tostada con huevos revueltos y champiñones y yo un sándwich de pastrami y queso fundido..50 minutos de espera. Por aclarar, el lugar no estaba lleno del todo (65% mesas ocupadas). Cuando empezamos a comer, la tortilla tibia, mi pan frío y el queso sin fundir. Les pido llevarse mi sándwich a cocina para calentar. Nunca pretendo reclamar nada pero viendo el precio que iba a pagar y el tiempo de espera, lo mínimo era comérmelo en condiciones. Se lo llevaron a cocina y en vez de darle prioridad donde calentar algo significa 30 segundos, pues se convirtieron en otros 10 minutos de espera. Al final mi novia se comió sola su desayuno, y yo mi sándwich también. Pedimos una botella de agua y era de osmosis a precio de agua del desierto (3,50€). La cuenta 52€. La verdad, la culpa es mía como mallorquín por venir a sitios así. Soy de los que trata de sacar siempre algo positivo pero desde este verano, no solo en este lugar sino en la mayoría de la isla, todo se ha convertido en una vergüenza con el abuso de precios, con la baja calidad del producto y del servicio. Dentro de todo lo malo, espero que mejoréis porque no le deseo ningún mal a nadie pero por supuesto que...
