I’m sorry to have to add this review. I’ve been coming here for years with small groups of language students. We sit in the back and enjoy the back yard while doing some language exercises. We had coffee and cake and shortly towards the end of our visit, the waitress brought a tray with olives and more water that we hadn’t ordered. We politely told her that it wasn’t ours, that it had been a mistake somehow and she returned it. I thought nothing of it, and a student in the group then paid the bill. I later realised that the extra order was indeed still on the bill and we had paid for it - not aware of course. I know, we should have checked the final bill before paying, but I would assume in such an establishment with this reputation and service, that an item or items that are wrong and returned would in fact be removed from the bill. They simply took advantage. I expect this elsewhere with groups of tourists but here - I’m disappointed, I regret tipping and I won’t be back. Such typical behaviour with tourists. Not good form. It seems you do indeed still have to be extra careful otherwise they will exploit you....
Read moreWe came here for a quick coffee in the city. It was very crowded so we didn't expect everything to go fast but still, servers were walking past us without even paying attention to tables who were waiting. The table next to us told us that they were waiting for about 30 minutes to get their drinks. When the server finally came to our table, he was unfriendly and greeted us with: 'okay...'. When we ordered drinks and no food, he could as well have rolled his eyes, his reaction was similar.
After (ofcourse) waiting an eternity, we got our drinks. For a cafe called CAPPUCCINO, I'd expect their coffee to be top notch. I have to admit, I was already a bit critical because of the service but gave it another chance. The cappuccino was topped with an abnormal amount of cinnamon which made it in my opinion: not drinkable. The icetea was delicious.
I had to look twice at the tab though... €10 for two basic drinks? Get outta here... I don't want to sound cheap but that's just exaggerated. Not...
Read moreWe visited as a family last year and loved it, so swiftly jumped at the chance to visit again when back in Palma. Unfortunately, the service was abysmal, the staff were rude, arrogant and generally un-attentive. If they'd have been more polite and more welcoming, we may have spent some more time there, resulting in us spending more money. Isn't the key to great customer service attentiveness and making the customer want to stay. Overall the drinks and little bit of food we had were lovely, though we literally had to get up and go to find waiting staff to order as nobody checked back on us once seated. This place is on the pricier side so you do expect a higher level of service (unfortunately, this was not seen). I don't blame the staff as it looked like they were quite unhappy to be there. Maybe take a look at upper management and how you can give your staff more of a reason to smile, as I'm sure your churn is massive. I won't be...
