I visited this bar with my mother on two consecutive days. On the first day, we had a great time – my mother danced salsa with a dancer named Hugo, who was very kind and respectful to us. She loves salsa and wanted to come back the next day to dance again.
On the second day, we ordered food and saw Hugo again. It was very warm, so my mother and some girls at the table next to us were fanning themselves with the menu. Suddenly, the owner came over and took the menu away from my mother, saying, “Okay, that’s enough.”
We had to wait a long time for our food because there was only one chef and many customers. Our table was also wobbly. When my mother came back from dancing, a candle holder fell from the table and broke. She made a little joke to me that it might bring good luck – but unfortunately, the opposite happened.
The owner came over, looked angrily at my mother, and asked if she wasn’t going to apologize. My mother apologized several times and even offered to pay for the damage or clean it up herself. The owner refused but insisted on “a sincere apology.” Shortly after, he told another staff member to bring us the bill immediately.
When my mother asked if we had to leave, the staff member said yes, claiming that my mother had not apologized and that she had “no education.” He took our food away from the table, leaving only my mother’s beer. She thought she could finish it before leaving, but the staff member repeatedly told us to go right away. He kept provoking my mother until they started arguing.
When we were about to leave, my mother wanted to speak to another Brazilian staff member about the disrespectful treatment. Instead, both men began shouting at us in front of all the guests. I walked ahead, my mother was behind me, and the short staff member pushed her so that she almost fell down the stairs, spilling her beer. When she tried to defend herself, he poured a beer bottle over her head. My mother then defended herself with her bag, and he threatened to hit her if he wanted to.
My mother was shocked and traumatized – she couldn’t sleep that night and cried a lot. She said that in her 54 years, she had never experienced anything like this. We felt extremely disrespected and badly treated. The behavior of the owner and staff member was unprofessional, aggressive, and completely unacceptable.
The only positive part of both days was Hugo, the salsa dancer – he was always friendly...
Read moreI would like to give them less than 1 because we had a terriblr experience. We are a family of four people, me and my baby arrived early because my husband went to mcdonalds to buy a sanduiche for.our 9y old daughter. I asked the menu, and said I was waiting for ny husband, so for now a nachos portion, and I enjoy and asked them if is possible warm my baby food. They couldn't, so I asked a main for my baby too... After 10/15 minutes of made my order, my husband arrived with our daughter and her food from mcdonalds, then the "manager" came saying to us we couldn't be there, just if we asked 4 mains in total... We said we asked 2 mains menu, to start. They said no, they was losing money becauase we are 4, and buying just 2 mains... He asked us to leave, my baby CRYING because he was hungry and of course we was waiting for the food! Me and my husband started to be extremely nervous, I spoke with the receptionist, she said that first I asked to warm a lasagna, now theres mcdonalds on the table. I Said my daughter is extremely picky, and we will consume food, drinks and deserts. So in ANY moment they said "Sorry but others foods aren't allowed", they just asked us to leave, after more than 15 minutes waiting for a food that I was expecting(BECAUSE I ORDERED). I started to cry, with a 1y old baby starving and crying, extremely upset. I think definitely they was asking us to leave because we was a family with kids?...
Read moreMe and my friend decided to dine here for our last evening in Mallorca. We liked the look of this bar/restaurant and was tempted in by the salsa dancing. We had walked past here the night before and was asked if I wanted to sit down I politely said ‘no thank you I’m going next door’ to then be told back I’m ’extremely rude’. Anyway so we sat down for our final meal, took 25 minutes before we were asked if we wanted a drink. We ordered food also, mixed paella, and nachos. Then 2 young girls were seated beside us. Instantly they were asked if they wanted a drink. They didn’t have to wait 25 minutes like we did. The guy was over them like a rash. We ordered another cocktail, which was then given to the 2 young girls. Both of which had a sip out of the cocktails before realising they were not their drinks. The man tried then giving them back to us, I said no thanks I’ll have a new one, to which his response ‘I’ll get you a new straw’ ??? Food come out. Freezing chips, paella was stuck to the pan with minimal meat/seafood. Nachos weren’t too bad but I suppose they are just crisps. Cut it short. Don’t go here, the staff/manager was unbelievably rude when we tried to address our issues and said we was trying to cause a scene (he raised his voice not us). If the staff cared more about the customers who are seated rather then getting every passerby in, then to be honest, still would’ve...
