Cerveza Artesana BADUM — Restaurant in Peníscola / Peñíscola

I love this place. The beer is head, shoulders and torso above anything else local. My favourite is the 'eepa', followed by the dark stout then Lola, which is an unusually fine tasting lager. The prices are about the same as for 'national brands' and half what I've been charged in a craft emporium in a large town in Spain. The staff and clientele are both friendly. Every time I've been there I've been offered something to eat. It can get busy, weekend lunchtimes in the summer. Most of the people that go there are Spanish but its also popular with tourists.

It was not at the brewery, we did not see anything abouth the brew process. Only Spanisch spoken. Very dissepointing.

We did not get the tour for which we paid 60 Euro with 4 people. We were sent away from the brewery and had to drive kilometers further in Peniscola to a terrace. On arrival we let it be known that we did not understand Spanish, this was completely ignored. On the basis of 3 drinking glasses filled with ingredients, an explanation was given in Spanish how the beer is prepared. A minimum amount of 5 types of beer could be tasted. PAYER EN ESPÈCES Nous sommes venus boire 2 verres, acheté 2 bouteilles et 1 sac pour un total de 28.60€ le 06/09/2024. Lors du paiement en carte, la fille passe plusieurs fois la carte car le paiement ne semblait pas passer. Elle nous a donné le reçu de paiement. Quelques jours plus tard, donc aujourd'hui, nous avons consulté notre compte bancaire et nous avons été débité 2 fois à une minute d'intervalle. Nous sommes retourné au bar et le jeune homme a refusé de nous rembourser car il pense que nous voulons l'arnaquer et que la contestation doit être faite le jour même, il n'a pas voulu comprendre qu'on ne pouvait pas s'en rendre compte le jour même car aucun ticket sortait du terminal de cb et nous n'avions pas les prélèvements sur notre compte. Il n'a pas voulu nous dire quand la jeune fille ou le responsable serait présent au bar. Nous achetons régulièrement chez eux lors de nos vacances et nous sommes très déçu de cet incident qui nous laisse sur une très mauvaise note. Nous n'irons et n'achèterons plus Badum.
