Restaurante Grill Mares — Restaurant in Pollença

We have just returned from a week in Pollensa and dined at Mares twice. Both meals were fabulous. The quality of produce used was excellent and the presentation superb. The menu is not huge but has been carefully thought through so there is definitely something for everyone. The kitchen is open to the restaurant so it is possible to see the chef prepare each meal.

A beautiful restaurant but unfortunately the food was a disappointment. Having ordered a starter of bread we were then served bread and alioli without asking if we wanted it. I have no problem paying a cover charge but would like to be asked if I actually want the bread!

The starter was lovely ( crystal bread) but we hadn’t finished it before the mains arrived! As a result my vegetable kebab was cold and the pork Luke warm. The waiters did apologise and gave us a free...

Just finished dining at this awesome place. The food is great, very reasonably priced and best of all the service staff is absolutely fabulous - very friendly, attentive, and creating excellent vibe, making us feel very welcome and comfortable. Absolute must visit for meat lovers. They also served us vegetarian paella from their neighboring restaurant La font del gall at request. Special mention for our waiter Ruben.
