Forum 18 Cafeteria Heladeria — Restaurant in Puerto del Rosario

Today, Monday the 15th of September at about 3pm myself and my boyfriend decided to stop here before going down to the beach. We went in and stood while the 2 staff behind the counter stood chatting and another 2 staff sat at a table stared at us, but did not acknowledge our presence. As we were not offered assistance we proceeded to use the slushy machine that's was facing the front door for customers to use as if it was self service. There were no instructions or prices, so I began to pour a slushy. Then the lady who appeared to be the manager came up to us in an aggressive and confrontational manner. She asked if we wanted anything and I asked for a slushy which I had started to pour, as no one offer to help. She appeared annoyed and she poured another one while standing next to us and my boyfriend asked for some ice cream. Her attitude was quite rude and a small bit aggressive. When we were leaving, I held my boyfriends hand. I saw her look at us, then smirk and say something under her breath in Spanish. I asked her what she said, but she smirked again and said nothing. We are a gay couple from Ireland and have never felt so uncomfortable in a cafe before. It really ruined our day experiencing what we felt was discrimination and I hope if the lady who served us reads this can understand how as LGBT people it's not okay to smirk at us holding...

Terrible Experience, Never Again!

We had an absolutely disappointing experience here. Our order was incorrect, and we had to wait over an hour for our items. When we asked about it, we were eventually told that the items we wanted were sold out — without any prior notice. The staff was unfriendly and showed no willingness to communicate in English. Well what can I say about this place. The worst service i experienced on this amazing Island. Staff are rude and looked like they did not want to be here. No please and thank you. After waiting for 20’minutes to order we got met by horrible service. They then forgot about us. Got one coffee 15 min later and then the next 7 minute after that and food 15 min after.
