PIZZERIA EL CAPRICHO — Restaurant in Puerto del Rosario

Wow, where do I start. Right so we were staying in an apartment directly across the street from this place. Lovely apartment. So naturally we looked at this place to grab some food, but after seeing the pics and other reviews, we tried some other options first. And I absolutely understand you always get that one idiot in the reviews which absolutely doesn't reflect on the restaurants they're reviewing. Anyway as the week of our holiday passed by we noticed that they had a fair bit of custom and seemed to be locals eating in their restaurant, so last night I said to my partner, instead of going out shall we grab a pizza and watch some more better call Saul. So I ran down and grabbed a menu and chose what I wanted. I ordered the special garlic bread, a BBQ pizza and a side of fries. The gentleman said it will be about 35 minutes, so I paid and said that's fine I'll be back in 30 mins then. Thank you. When I returned I ended up standing outside for another 40 minutes waiting for my food. I made the restaurant aware I'd just wait outside the front for my food then minute I got there too. It wasn't until 35 mins had passed the waiter ushered me over to the bar and asked if I'd like a drink. To which I replied, no thanks but I really would like my food. I mean I've been stood here for half hour already and this isn't great service. It's quite bad. I said I will wait out the front for my food. I messaged my gf and said this better be at least an ok pizza. They bought my food out to me after five minutes, so I took it upstairs and opened the box and immediately I just laughed out loud. So first of all the chops had clearly been sat in the box wrapped in foil for 15 mins minimum as the box was absolutely covered in water droplets and the chips were just soggy potatoes now and the pizza. Wow what can I say. In all fairness food across the whole island isn't the best and I appreciate it's a desert and most things are imported. But this food so called "pizza" looked like an extra large lunchable snack box someone had thrown in the oven for 2 minutes. I will attach the photos too but this was absolutely shocking. Especially when you consider it took them almost an hour and hour to produce. Wait till you see it. It resembles nothing like a pizza or pizza dough. The toppings well it's like someone has gifted these guys a kitchen facility and they're "playing" at being chefs. When in fact absolutely no one has any idea what they're actually doing. My 5 year old child would make better food let alone pizza. Please avoid at all costs. If you decide you do want to eat here, you'll absolutely understand and respect this review after I guarantee you that.

Please don't go by people's reviews here. If you are a true foodie and know what a pasta or anything should taste like then this place is not for you. You will be served like pasta how it's made by a immature in house for child. Macroni in cream topped with cheese and baked. No herbs, no salt. Ravioli stuffed with trufas in mushroom sauce is what I actually returned because I am not interested in paying for a market bought ravioli served in warm milk with some canned mushroom here n there on plate. I do not call it a sauce. The behavior of waitress was rude. Firstly they do not understand how to cook a pasta and on top if it they argue that this is how it's made in their restaurant. I did ask before ordering if atleast the mushroom sauce is made in house which she said yes But when the dish was served there was no sauce it was literally served in warm milk of liquid consistency. After looking at their menu I actually thought to repeat my visit to try a few more dishes on menu But considering their knowledge of cooking I don't wish to visit again. Hemos ido un grupo grande de compañeros de trabajo a almorzar, hemos pedido unos ravioli que literalmente tenían 10 unidades contadas, únicamente tapaba la base del plato literalmente, hemos comunicado de buena manera nuestro descontento aunque la verdad estaba bueno y la respuesta del camarero (el alto, delgado y calvo) ha sido muy mala, su respuesta ha sido: pues para la próxima se piden espaguetis e ignorando totalmente nuestra queja, volvimos a comunicarlo un rato después y nos ignoro completamente, ni nos miraba, como si nadie le estuviese hablando y como riéndose. A la hora del postre una de nuestras compañeras pidió educadamente las cucharas y su respuesta fue (esta vez del otro camarero): No me las tienes que pedir ya sé que las tengo que llevar (de mala forma) y ya para rematar cuando pedimos la cuenta se negaron por un momento a cobrarnos por separado, por supuesto cada uno quería pagar su plato, su respuesta fue: paga uno solo para eso están los bizum. Finalmente cada uno pago lo suyo obviamente. Y el último compañero que se quedó a pagar su parte (ni siquiera estaba en la misma mesa que todo el grupo) tuvo que pagar cosas que él no consumió, fueron 9 euros de más y eso no debería ser así. Una cosa más, los precios en la carta son unos, cuando vas a pagar es más caro ya que los precios no están actualizados cosa que no es problema del cliente y está mal, si pone eso me cobras eso, pues fatal.
