OMG- visited Ronda today and our guide suggested a restaurant adjacent to the river. At that point , I knew he was an idiot or on the take. The restaurant is a block or two away from the main tourist streets and has tables outside and inside. The key strength is an owner who clearly cares deeply about everything he does. The Octopus and apple salad is sublime. Prices are reasonable and service excellent. Elsewhere, super fresh tomatoes that are grown on his fatherโs farm. Iโd come back to Ronda just to eat here again. Canโt recommend...

Escape the tourist masses and stop by for a drink and a few tapas,(ie. patata alioli, calamari, the flaming chorizo, skewers and the fabulous oxtail)...
