Coming here in the mornings to have a café con leche and to watch the city awake before the first train from Palma arrives loaded with tourists has been my holiday routine for over two and a half decades now and I can highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get the vibe of this city. Sitting together with the locals, who like me, simply enjoy watching the city awake and meeting friends who occasionally pass by, has something utterly soothing to it. Bar Turismo is an institution in Sollèr . It is now managed in the third generation by the niece and nephew of the former owner and his mother. Its name deceives though. It is absolutely no hotspot for tourists, but for locals of all ages. In the mornings you‘ll meet shopkeepers, train conductors and elderly locals who come here to enjoy their morning coffee and to talk with their friends (while clearly enjoying their lives without duties).
