The food was only ok

I would have given it a 3.5. The salad was ok and the scallops were not v well prepared. They did choose to prepare and present them in the shell, which is really hard to do well since they are so delicate. They were over cooked but I could tell they were high quality ingredients. I had to ask to replace some weird bread they gave me that was like a rock. I even knocked it on the table to emphasize my point. I had to ask for a table cloth. It seems they give them to some tables and not others. Idk... maybe ok for a low key place to drink but not serious eats. The Spanish guys next to me actually sent back their meat platter - don’t know what it was.... maybe cook it more... too much grizzle? But they got a new plate after a while. Some small tapas sure.... but a real meal in this city w so many good restaurants? I...

Wonderful spot! The gentleman who was managing and serving was great. The lady however wasn't pleasant. Slow and not friendly. Aside from that, the ribeye and fries were absolutely delish. Filled the craving! And the scallops were perfect! I normally want a lemon with it, but these didn't even need the touch of acidity. Very well balanced. The tinto de verano also hit the spot. Only thing I wish this place would have allowed, was for the tapas being served in the front to be purchased in the resto area. I guess it just means I'll have to come back. Overall...

I was really impressed by this tapas bar. It was quite late and we were looking for something a bit more traditional (unlike the stuff you get on high street) and we found it here! Amazing tapas, really fresh and juicy and quite reasonably priced - 1.5€/tapa. I’d recommend to anyone and will definitely come back when in Salamanca next time.
