I am giving this a 3 star because 1 star reviews get suppressed.

Not only was food at this restaurant was absolutely nasty, but they scammed us. I got the beef combo meal which included two eggs which tasted disgusting and were not fried properly, a piece of extremely greasy, tough, disgusting steak, and two disgusting, cheesy "ham" croquetas which I couldn't taste the ham in at all.

After this came their biggest offense. After we started eating, the waiter brought out some bread which was so stale and baked so poorly that I thought it was pound cake. The bread looked and tasted like dry wall. My friend and I were so shocked by this bread that we each took a bite to see if it was as bad as it looked; because of this, we were charged €4 for all three pieces of bread, even though we each had a single bite of one piece. Si buscas emociones fuertes y un potencial caso de salmonela, La Mariseca es tu sitio. Un lugar donde la comida está más cruda que su atención al cliente.

Fui con mi novia hace unos días a probar el menú del día. Para empezar, el servicio: un camarero cincuentón, calvo y de ojos azules que tenía la amabilidad de un cactus seco al que parecía que atendernos era un sacrificio personal.

Mi novia pidió un cachopo de pollo, que de entrada tenía una textura “rara”. Pensamos, ingenuamente, que quizá era su forma de prepararlo. ERROR. Tras unos bocados, lo abrió y sorpresa: el pollo estaba crudo. No poco hecho, no rosado, CRUDO. Tan crudo que si lo dejábamos un rato más en el plato, empezaba a cacarear. Se lo dijimos al camarero, quien sin inmutarse ofreció traer otro plato, como si después de eso todavía tuviéramos apetito. Obviamente, nos negamos. Ni ganas de postre nos quedaron (y eso que venía incluido). Lo mínimo en estos casos sería una disculpa, un poco de empatía… pero nada.

Lo peor es que mi novia y yo estamos intentando tener un bebé. Y obviamente eso representaba un riesgo de infecciones graves como la salmonelosis o la listeriosis, que pueden ser peligrosas en el embarazo. Así que, además del asco y el enfado, nos quedamos con la preocupación de si habíamos puesto en riesgo algo tan importante para nosotros.

Cuando llegó el momento de pagar, la guinda del pastel: nos cobraron todo. El argumento del camarero: “te ofrecí otro plato”. Ah, claro. ¡Por supuesto! Porque después de ver pollo crudo en un plato, lo lógico es confiar en que el siguiente no venga directamente del corral. Ni una disculpa, ni una mínima muestra de preocupación.

En fin, una pena no haber visto antes las reseñas de este lugar, porque parece que no soy el único que ha tenido una mala experiencia. Así que, si quieres jugar a la ruleta rusa, pero con la comida, adelante. Pero si quieres comer tranquilo y sin jugarte la salud (o la de tu futuro bebé), mejor...

Food was just okay and bad depending on what you order. Stick to Spanish dishes, I guess. They do not know how to make a Caesar salad, or a margarita, and the tuna is over cooked. They reel you in to sit down, then treat you like a piece of meat. Waiter was rude and disrespectful. When I asked for the salad to be removed from the bill or give us a different option the waiter became agitated and insulting. He basically told me that since I am in Spain I should do as he pleases.
