Caffe di Mare — Restaurant in Salou

Actually one of the worst bars I have been in Salou. The drinks were really bad (only crushed ice). I ordered a strawberry smoothie, which was just disgusting to drink, because there were LITERALLY more strawberry seeds than actual juice inside… Some friend ordered a pineapple smoothie, which was sweeter than sugar, so also disgusting to drink.

The table, the drinks-menu and the bar itself were very filthy and everything smelled so bad. Also it was soooo loud in the bar, that I had no chance to talk to my friend which was sitting right next to me. On top of that, the jukeboxes were so bad, that you heard more rustle than actual music..

The shisha was ok but only for the first 5 minutes and then it tasted only like coal.

But now the worst comes - the promoter (don‘t know the name but he came from Marocco) was very pushy towards my female friends. He just hugged them, without asking for permisision or whatsoever and asked for the number very intrusively, even though we telled him, that she got a boyfriend, but he still insisted. Such a shameful behaviour. He was more like a wannabe playboy than a proper promoter for the bar.

So in conclusion, in every aspect, I do not recommend this bar, especially if you have female friends...

Shockingly bad experience. I arrived with my wife and two young children for some drinks and a meal. The staff outside trying to get people in I heard discussing cocaine and were extremely hyper, agitated and overbearing. Whilst we were sitting at our four person table shortly after ordering food then table beside us who had friends join them the same hyper staff took our children's seats away to accommodate another table, I held my breath as it wouldnt have gone down well. To top it off my 5 year old daughter needed to go to toilet and when I took her to the male toilet it was filthy with the lock completely broken, two minutes into her going to the toilet as I had to clean as best as possible the staff had tried to push door open, obviously I pushed it closed again to which 1 minute had passed before 2 staff nearly took the door of the hinges, when they seen I was in there with my daughter still sitting on the toilet I heard them say to each other he's not taking Coco it's just a Bambino. No apologies atall. This was a shocking experience and I would advise everyone to avoid this place. Very trashy place and not a place to go if your looking for something classy. Excellent...

The location of the restaurant is quite nice, at the beach with a view of the sea, but that's sadly the only positiv thing I can say about this restaurant. The whole experience there was a fiasco. Starting with the service. The waiters where very very very impolite and where messing up the orders. But that's not even the end. The food is comparable to the service, at least the main dish I ordered. I have got a paella with pork and chicken meat. The waiting time was long, but understandable and fine, because it was marked in the menu at the specific dishes. But the waiting time was not worth the product. The meat contained more bones then actual meat, so it was a nightmare eating the meat and there were also very small and sharp bones, which can be hurtful and injure people, when they do not see them. All in all, the taste of the paella at itself was alright, a bit of a sour note, which is another negativ aspect. So, my friends and I cannot recommend...
