La Sal - Salou — Restaurant in Salou

Just back from a holiday to salou and ate at this restaurant on the 26th of July. While I can't fault the food it was actually quite good, but our server was probably one of the rudest people I have ever met. She had a terrible attitude and generally made us feel like she wanted to be anywhere else but there. She stood at the top of our table and had us shout our orders over each other as there was 10 of us dining including children you can see why this is a problem. She then went to call back our order to make sure it was correct and I asked a family member to listen to the girl to make sure his order was correct as it was loud he didn't realise she was calling the order back. She then rolled her eyes and stormed off didn't continue. She came back with our drinks and stood at the top of the table abd attempted to stretch across my 4 year old and 10 month old baby to place my partners bottle of beer he ordered infront of them. I asked can she come around the table to pass the drink to my partner as he was on the other end of the table she again rolled her eyes dropped the drink and stormed off. Other servers brought our food where lovely to us. Our server did not come back to check if everything was OK with food or for us to order dessert or another drink for the children 4 of which where between 10 months and 4 years. I though her demeanour was a disgrace and I will definitely not return to the restaurant in the future. I will also not be recommending on service which is a shame as we enjoyed our food and the bill wasn't small...

Went here for drinks last night. My cocktail was great and I was enjoying the atmosphere until a cockroach fell from the ceiling and landed on my hand as I was holding my glass. I was shocked as it was disgusting and left a brown wet mark on my hand and there was families eating near our table and it easily could have landed in someone’s drink or food. The waitress brought the bill to us and I told her what happened and she pointed it out to a man who just kicked it aside. We were still charged full price for our drinks. I understand cockroaches can be common in this climate during the summer but even so, I don’t think it is acceptable for them to fall from the ceiling on to customers. Went three days back to back to this place the food is great but Sunday the place is been run by kids who want to spend more time running around the kitchen talking with each other. My partner’s desert came out 20 minutes before mine as well and it isn’t cheap €65 €72 and €98 (picture is after I sent back to take the desert off) on Sunday which was soon thrown back they tried to charge me for the desert I sent back because they where done and because I did that they had a good talk about me which I could hear won’t be going back again. The only people doing there job is the guys at the entrance trying to bring people in 15 minutes to pay and when we asked for the bill a group was in and still waiting for anyone to approach them when we left a good 20...
