My recent visit to La Piazza was a regrettable mistake from the moment I stepped through the door. Despite being greeted warmly and shown to a pleasant table, the experience quickly soured. The bruschetta, a dish that should be bursting with flavor, arrived as a pitiful excuse for an appetizer. It was nothing more than a poorly toasted roll with insipid, watery tomatoes—lacking even the most basic seasoning like salt, garlic, or basil. It was a culinary catastrophe that left me questioning my decision to dine there.
To add insult to injury, the service was abysmal. Our starters were served before our drinks, and when they finally did arrive, they were accompanied by a table so filthy that the waiter struggled to clean it properly. It was a display of incompetence that further tarnished the already dismal dining experience.
Life is too short to subject ourselves to such subpar cuisine and service. La Piazza desperately needs to overhaul its menu and reevaluate its standards if it wishes to remain in business. Judging by other reviews, my disappointment seems to be a recurring theme—a clear indication that management has failed to address ongoing issues.
In the end, I abandoned my meal and sought refuge at the Tipsy Hammock, where I was greeted with exceptional service and delicious food. For anyone seeking a dining experience that doesn't involve culinary disappointment, I wholeheartedly recommend avoiding La Piazza and opting for establishments that prioritize quality and customer...
Read moreCan't say anywhere in GC has wowed me to date and usually any restaurant with pictures on the menu is one I'd skip. I had looked at top 40 in Playa Ingles and this didn't rate a mention, but I walked from my hotel for a sunset swim and fancied Italian so resigned myself to a lack lustre meal. I am vegetarian and GC not great for me but I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were super friendly contrary to many comments and couldn't have been more attentive. I had garlic mushrooms and Piazza salad for starters which they supplemented without requesting since I took out the non vegetarian aspects. The olives in the salad were not the disgusting pitted ones and actually had flavour, unlike a previous higher rated Italian restaurant. Mushrooms were good. Main was a simple spaghetti napoletana and to be honest couldn't fault it. Spaghetti cooked properly and sauce tasty - simple but good. House was drinkable... Cannot complain at all. 5 stars needs to be amazing but I'm pretty fussy and my meal was lovely. Would eat here again if I returned. For me the low rating was...

Dear Folks, Last night we ordered a Loobster..it was a big mistake..!! Although not indicated on the menu-board, the waitor said they had it and it was nice and fresh..we thought we'll share one between the two of us.. But instead we got a shock when were served up with a rather small, Half-a-Lobster with hardly any meet in it.. When we called the manager he explained that the Lobsters were standard size and that was that..although he was polite(so were we) he left us feeling dissatisfied. A little later on, to our surprise a different -- rather nice waiter brought us two Irish coffees as a complimentary gesture on the house. Although the Coffee was a nice gesture it was too little too late and €35 for such a tiny-wee-fella on the plate was laughable, you get more meet out of a tin..very disappointed..!! We were truly "Lobstered" so, we came home still hungry and ate a tin of Sardines.. Please let us know if you had similar experience. "To the loo" for...
