Our evening at Tipsy Hammock Bar, near the beautiful Maspalomas beach, was nothing short of amazing, and I'm excited to share this fantastic experience with fellow travelers. This charming bar not only offers a welcoming atmosphere but also serves up some of the most exquisite octopus I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. Without a doubt, I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Cooked to perfection, it was tender, flavorful, and paired with a delicious sauce that elevated the dish to a whole new level. It's not an exaggeration to say that it was the best octopus I've ever tasted, and I urge anyone who visits to try it.

Read moreI have been here on two occasions with the intention of returning 🙏🙌. What can I say - the food, cocktails, and the overall energy at the Tipsy Hammock are so far unparalleled. I have enjoyed the nachos selections, the fantastic burgers, and the strong cocktails. Excellent location to capture some beautiful views of the beach, snap some pictures on the swing located here, or even chill out on a hammock if you need a quick energiser!
Overall, the food was just so tasty. I shared all the dishes that I ordered because the food is something else, and we wanted a taste of it all. There is a wide selection of drinks - We went XXL on the drinks which were generous in size and alcohol.
Prices are good when considering the location and all of the options around this location. We spent €80 for two people (food & drinks).
There is a seating service in place here. If you arrive in will generally be seated if it is not too busy.
I found that many of the restaurants in the location have employees outside harrassing and coercing tourists to sit in their restaurants to eat, however, the staff at the Tipsy Hammock appear more focused on the natural flow of customers who are gravitating to this location for the fun, food and good vibes from the staff. There was no one out harassing me to come in which I appreciated.
In regards to the location we did have to get seating inside and under the covers l. It can be quite windy, which, of course, is out of the control of the restaurant. However, I do feel that if the weather is not particularly good, that the establishment could benefit by having some better protection for customers as we did arrive one evening and there was a lot of wind which made it difficult as menus were flying around and we were holding on to some light items such as tissues, drink holders, and so on Some barriers in place to prevent much of the wind would have just made this experience something even more as the location is on the corner. Nevertheless, you will enjoy some good music while...
Read moreSo sad we had a negative experience here since everyone has been raving about this place. We came in around midday for food, were seated and taken order for the drinks. Half an hour later, we still havent gotten our drinks, so a different waitress asked us if we have ordered yet, and checked what the situation was. She came back and apologized, and said whoever took our order never put it in the system and took our order for food as well. A man brought us our drinks this time, and I said "woohoo finallyy" to which he answered that we only waited 8 minutes. I explained to him that it was 8 minutes plus half an hour before that as someone forgot to enter our order in the computer. He apologized. The food arrived some 10 minutes later, but my order was an entirely wrong dish. I said sorry, I ordered salmon, the waitress apologized and went to check the order. She returned and said it will be a few minutes. 10 minutes later, my food still was not coming, so I asked the same man who brought us the drinks, if he can check where my food was. My boyfriend was already finished with his food when mine finally arrived. The man apologized and I jokingly said "its okay, we will accept a free round as an apology" and smiled in good humor as I did not want to show my annoyance or complain, since they were busy and I know these things happen. The man said "of course of course". When I finished and went to pay, I was presented with the card machine and a full bill, and no token of apology, no free round or anything like that, not even offered free shots which even just random customers often get. I didnt want to mention it again, as we did not come there for freebies, but I just left with such a soured experience of the place and in a bit of a disbelief that they messed up our table twice in the same sitting and were happy to let us leave without some token of apology. I guess you only get compensations if youre a...
