It has potential, but it's not quite there yet.
If you walk on the boulevard of Playa del Ingles you will not miss, that the terraces are very crowded. This was also the case with Aquario.
The first thing I noticed at Aquario was that the staff wants to run very fast for you when you first arrive, but quickly lose sight of you when your first drink is on the table. Some things went wrong with us, everyone around us had already chosen their starter and main course and ours still had to come. (can happen of course)
Then the food, I had ordered a grilled fish and seafood and unfortunately this was a bit of a let down. I had no seafood on my plate and the fish that was on my plate was very little and full of bones.
For a second drink you really have to pull the shirt if you want to attract attention, because once again the focus is on new customers and non-existing customers.
Then as a last point of improvement. The bill.... it could really come to the table a bit faster. Waiting 20 minutes is just a bit too long if you ask me.
So are there any good points? Yes there are.
Your drinks are made at the table and that is very nice to see. You sit by the sea and have a view of the beach (nice, right?). The melon and ham as a starter...
Read moreEDIT: As in the reply seen, you an already see the misogynic and unprofessional attitude of the people working there in addition to no service and bad food.
I cannot recommend this place at all, had to spend twice as much because of a mistake of the waiter. After sitting I asked if there was anything vegan here (in Spanish) and the guy which seems to only try to catch customers just said yeah yeah and brought the menu and made some remark of my body in regards to being vegan. I ordered papas for approximately 5€ (potatoes) and bruschetta. The waiter came with a big plate of mixed tapas (including fish and meat etc.) already leaving, after I said that I ordered papas he just said he heard tapas and left. I told him and other guys there that I couldn’t even eat most of that plate and that I ordered papas. They didn’t apologize neither offered a solution. My mom didn’t want a confrontation so she said she’d try to eat some of the rest but this is borderline a scam, I have never encountered this in a place of service let alone a restaurant. The atmosphere is loud and the food tasted bland, lacking salt (even their version of “pimientos de pardon”). Would recommend no one...
Read moreSuper abrupt & unhelpful waiter. 1st for drinks, I asked for a Caprioska which is on the menu. I was told NO, we have Pina Colada & Caparhina. Now Caprioska is essentially the same as Caparhina, but vodka instead of he rum..... so should have been entirely possible! I eventually ordered a glass of house white.... a bottle of red with 2 glasses arrived 🤦🏻♀️instead. Finally I got a warmish mini-bottle/glass of the house white. 2ndly for ordering meals. The paella was priced at €15.50 on the menu, without any mention of requiring to order 2 serves (previous reviews have commented on the availability of single serves here). I wanted to have the lobster linguine (which would have earnt them €10 more in revenue) we settled for the seafood paella.... which was totally uninspiring, essentially flavoured rice with a single prawn & 2 tasteless mussels each. DEFINITELY not recommended & DEFINITELY...
