Restaurante El Rodeo — Restaurant in San Bartolomé de Tirajana

Been here tonight our last night in Gran Canaria wanted to treat the kids something different from all inclusive - was almost empty inside and out but took 20 minutes to bring our drinks, to then bring the wrong drinks, took another 10 to correct the order, another 20 for someone to come to take our order, then 2 meals out of 5 were brought out, the other 3 no sign… after 25 more mins I went to ask if there was a problem to be told they always bring kids meals out first.. except one of the 3 meals we were waiting for was a kids meal.:. So…

The 2 who received food had finished by now.. their plates were cleared.. and the remaining 3 were still waiting… for another 20 minutes with no plates on the table.

Upon asking for the bill, having complained and enquired during the meal several times, I had the bill slammed down in front of me, checked the bill, no reduction due to the excessive wait.. ok..

When I then spoke to a waiter about this, and said we were not satisfied at all, he said well it’s not his issue, told me to go back outside and wait.

I went back to our table, and another 10 minutes later someone finally came out, lied brazenly to our faces saying we told them to bring 2 meals out before the others for the kids (Remember one of the meals that was 20 odd mins later was for a child- who ordered the meal herself no less) to which I replied, and the rest of my party backed me up, that this was a brazen lie. She then backtracked saying oh no yes I’m sorry I’m sorry, but offered no solution at all. I would avoid this place at all costs. Food was average at best but definitely not worth waiting 2.5 hours for. I’m an empty...

Started well but was a big disappointment, water and wine they managed to get out quickly, the starter came after two requests they forgot about it and gave us some other "On the house" rubbish sandwich in the meantime. The main course came after 50 min cold they had forgotten it in the kitchen, we paid the wine and left. Real amateurs the restaurant is the same owner as Guarapo at Jardin del Sol but this place needs to improve before they go bankrupt like the restaurant that was there before did.

Una experiencia gastronómica fantástica en Restaurante El Rodeo en Playa del Inglés. Desde el ambiente hasta la calidad de la comida, todo fue de 10. ​🥩 Los Platos Destacados: ¡Simplemente espectacular! Pedimos el entrecot y la carne estaba cocinada a la perfección (un punto menos del medio, tal como se ve en la foto), tierna y muy sabrosa, con ese toque inconfundible del grill. La presentación, acompañada de papas fritas crujientes y una guarnición de verduras muy colorida y cuidada, fue excelente. Las escamas de sal realzaban el sabor de manera ideal. ​Pimientos del Padrón: Un clásico que no puede faltar y que aquí bordan. Estaban deliciosos, con el punto justo de aceite y sal gruesa. Un entrante perfecto para compartir. ​Calamares Fritos: Crujientes por fuera y tiernos por dentro, servidos con patatas fritas y una fresca guarnición de ensalada y limón. Un plato que demuestra la calidad de su cocina más allá de la carne. ​El servicio fue rápido y atento, a pesar de estar en una hora concurrida. El ambiente era agradable y la velada se hizo muy amena. También disfrutamos de unas buenas jarras de cerveza para acompañar la cena. ​Un lugar totalmente recomendable para disfrutar de una excelente cena, ya sea que busques una carne de calidad superior o unos entrantes y raciones típicas canarias muy bien preparadas.
