Situated on the front nr the beach in amongst all the bars, restaurants and shops. Very modern interior. 2 young lads serving you, friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we didn't really enjoy the food as much as other Indian restaurants we have visited, but there's very few to choose from. Perhaps it's just not to our taste. The onion bargee's (€4.90) and samosas (€5.50) were OK, but not great, the pastry on the samosas was quite thick, not filo. I had Shai Paneer (€11.50) but the paneer was broken up which resembled cottage cheese rather than lumps and it was abit sweet, perhaps the almond powder. I also ordered a Tarkal Dal (€10) but I'm sorry to say that its the worst I've ever tasted, just like lentils in a tomato sauce. My partner had Goa Prawn Massala (€17.90) and asked for it to be medium spiced. He said it OK but basic, again nothing special. The garlic rice (€3.50) was great and the tandoori roti (€2.50) good but my partner didn't like the buttered nan (€3.75) as it was very flakey and pale, not like a typical bread baked in a ovan. We were really disappointed as there's very few Indian restaurants in Gran Canaria and we really wanted to love it but I want to be honest with my reviews. Maybe their style of Indian food is different from ours and it's just a matter of taste. He did ask us if we enjoyed it and I said yes, I just didn't want to go into the detail as there was so much to comment on and it might just be our taste. I'm sure others will love it, I suggest you try...

I recently visited Taj Indian Restaurant, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations in every way! From the moment I stepped in, I was impressed by the calm, inviting atmosphere. The staff is incredibly attentive and focused on customer satisfaction, which made my experience all the more enjoyable.

What stood out the most was the restaurant’s commitment to cleanliness. The kitchen is visible, and it’s evident that they maintain high standards of hygiene, which is reassuring and adds to the overall positive experience.

The food here is absolutely delicious. Each dish is bursting with flavors and perfectly balanced spices. Whether you’re a fan of rich, creamy currys, vegan or prefer something lighter, Taj offers a variety of options that cater to every taste. I recommend trying their vegan options —it's flavorful and aromatic, with just the right amount of heat ( you can ask for different levers of spiciness).

If you're looking for a place with good food, excellent service, and a clean, comfortable environment, Taj Indian Restaurant should be at the top of your list. I'll...

Absolutely disgusted. Curries are watery and clearly microwaved due to how quickly the food came out. The taste… well there was no flavours to taste. Curries topped with decorations just to make it look special. The staff were horrendous, no social service skills at all. Didn’t ask how the food was nor be friendly when we asked for the bill. When they took the card payment, they clicked themselves which currency they wanted the transaction in, that should be the payees choice. Which of course they chose the option which benefits them. As we are good polite people, we did pay the bill without making a face to face complaint to save turning away any of their other customers. But I am disgusted and should’ve done a runner. Will never recommend this to anyone, but can certainly recommend the Chinese a...

Good situation on the beach front close to other bars, restaurants and shops. Bright and modern. Food unfortunately wasn't to our taste. Most dishes lacked depth of flavour. The paneer dish I had was broken up into small bits, so resembled cottage cheese rather than solid pieces also was bland. The Tarkal Dal was terrible, tasted just like red lentils in a tomato sauce. The Prawn Massala was just average. The garlic rice was good as was the tandoori roti but the nan was pale and flaky. I suggest you try it yourself as it may just be our taste.
