Love a rock bar. But I hate one that doesn't obey the smoking laws of the country. We picked gran canaria as we are both non smokers who enjoy a drink and were struggling to find somewhere that fit for our honeymoon. Gran canaria has been amazing. Slightly more lax in the smoking laws than the UK but pretty decent with everyone obeying the non smoking in covered areas. I can deal with people smoking near me. But when I'm in a fully enclosed place that shouldnt be allowing smoking I do not expect to be subjected to it. Not happy. We actually went outside to get free of the smoking atmosphere (many people smoking in a fully enclosed area) then went next door to relax bar which was also rock but with better prices...

I wish I'd found this place from the start of my holiday. The guys behind the bar were outstanding. It doesn't look like much but the staff were very welcoming and they took requests and managed to play everything no matter how obscure. The beer was a good price and would have happily paid more to be there. The only bar I can compare it to is Godz bar in tokyo. Same vibe, people who love metal serving you booze and playing song requests. What more...
