Lux 22 Restaurante — Restaurant in San Bartolomé de Tirajana

Would have given a 3.5 but Google doesn’t allow half stars ;-) Maybe my expectations were too high, but I was disappointed after my visit to Lux 22. The restaurant sells itself as a unique luxury experience but it wasn’t that exceptional. We opted for the chefs menu expecting to be surprised with the best possible choices. Sadly this wasn’t the case. The first starter (Iberian ham) was simple but good. After that it went mostly downhill. Tomato soup in a chefs menu? Should be something really special then which it wasn’t. Also the main course wasn’t at the level we would have liked. Both the salmon and risotto were overcooked. Dessert lacked taste. Came here for dinner during our honeymoon. Alejandro and the entire staff made us feel so welcomed and went above and beyond throughout the whole meal. They had our table decorated with flower petals to start the dinner. He gave us great recommendations on local wines and drinks. He checked in with us often and wanted to know more about us and our honeymoon. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the sole fish and my husband had the beef tenderloin. We finished our meal with a delicious eton mess de fresa which was life changing. They were two of the best meals we had during our entire trip. An Outstanding Restaurant Experience!

We visited twice over a two week period. We tried the main menu followed by the tasting menu.

There is no doubt that this is the best restaurant in M. The booking process was personal and efficient, do book to reserve a table. The restaurant team were very friendly, knowledgeable and super attentive throughout.

The ingredients and plate combinations will surprise you and take your taste buds to another dimension.

The communication throughout the evening from the owner/host was exceptional. We felt throughout that the service was personal and without fault.
