What a Gem of a place! At the point of going to Kruua Thai for a meal we had been in Playa de Ingles for a week and one restaurant we always seek out on holiday is a Thai, mainly because we don’t have one where we live and also because it’s one of our favourite cuisines. Having been on the lookout for a week and with no success, I took to google. There was apparently a Thai restaurant approximately 500 yards from our hotel. Armed with Google Maps we set out to find this elusive establishment! Maps said we were there and only by looking carefully did we spot Kruua Thai on the ground floor of the Arena apartments, we’d been past three times over the week and just not seen this restaurant. The reviews were great, so in we went to the most unassuming place! Wow!! Are we glad we did! We were given a table outside on the terrace and made our choices. Alissio took our order and upon arrival our starter for two was amazing. Then came our delicious mains and afterwards we were so impressed we shared a traditional Thai desert. Allasio and his colleague Jessica were equally attentive to us and the other diners present throughout our meal and we couldn’t fault them. Prior to getting the bill Jessica asked if she could get us anything else and my husband suggested a trolly for the ride home might be useful. Of course this was a joke, but one that Jessica went along with and as we departed she beckoned us to a luggage trolley and we had a laugh… We were introduced to the chef and gave him our compliments on what has to be one of the best Thai meals we have ever eaten! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kruua Thai, and I must say, it was an incredible experience! As a vegan, finding restaurants that offer delicious and satisfying options can be a challenge, but Kruua Thai exceeded all my expectations.

Their papaya salad is an absolute masterpiece. The combination of fresh, papaya, tangy lime juice, and the perfect amount of spice creates a symphony of flavors in every bite. The vegan dressing is a true work of art, elevating the dish to new heights.

The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting, with friendly staff who are knowledgeable about vegan options and happy to accommodate any dietary preferences. The service was prompt and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.

I highly recommend Kruua Thai to anyone looking for amazing vegan food. Whether you're a vegan, vegetarian, or simply someone who appreciates good food, this restaurant will not disappoint. Treat yourself to the papaya salad and prepare to be amazed!
