Café Loft — Restaurant in San Sebastián

We were here in July 2019. The rating is due to our second visit in this cafe. If I had not visited again, my rating would be higher. After all, we went back again because we had a good time there the first time; the breakfast was quite cheap and also good, the service (by the owner(s) I think?) was quick and they were welcoming and friendly. Their tortilla was very tasty as well. The second time we were there, the additional staff was rude and racist. She ignored me when I came up to the bar to order something, and when she could ignore me no longer she came to take my order. She took it, and never brought what we wanted. But when other people came in to order something she did it right away. When the owner came again, I told her that I was still waiting for my coffee I ordered a while ago, she apologised, then made and brought it right away. - Of course, as I haven't asked the person if it was my being Asian or being a foreigner in general, or being a tourist, or being a non-Spanish speaking person that she didn't like, I don't really know nor care what the issue was or why she thought that it was OK to behave in that way or to treat people/customers like that. It has to be one of those things though, I can't think of anything else that set me apart from the other people who came into the cafe. I won't ponder here which of the cases is...

We went there for breakfast. The couple that was attending, which I presume were the owners were very gentle with us. We ate toasts, omelette and sandwich mixto (han and cheese). Specially the last one very well presented and yummy. My little kid enjoyed it a lot. I truly recommend this place for breakfast. You have a menu for breakfast for less than 5 euros with coffee, orange juice and toast...

Very nice café in Gros. Friendly staff and good food. The breakfast combo is good value. Coffee, juice and some pastry or bread with tomatoes and olive oil. We stayed in the neighbourhood for a week and had breakfast here every day except sunday when they where closed. Went to Photo café next door which was also nice, but...
