It was an exceptional and memorable evening in every way! The bar and restaurant are cosy. Our waiter Alvaro was super friendly and highly professional. He added to the evening by patiently and precisely explaining the menu, answering our questions and checking in with us just the right amount. 👍🏼The food started arriving and each dish was superb. Each different from the others, some simply but expertly created and some innovative from what we have eaten before. The warm bread, the Paloma drinks, the limeade for the kids, the cauliflower entree, the fresh from the sea bonito ceviche, the superb redfish of the day with slivered green beans, the hake cheeks fish special, the mushroom risotto, the unrivaled pork, mashed potatoes, grilled zucchini, outstanding flaming chocolate dessert and excellent apple dessert were all part of a very special evening! We savored every bite. The ceviche, redfish, risotto, pork and chocolate dessert were the standouts. Each was enough to bring us back for another meal. 😃😊 We so enjoyed our evening and were truly impressed with the meal and entire experience. It is clear this is a very very special restaurant that is fueled by passion and love. We hope to come back today (our last day) but if we can’t we will remember it for a long time and happily tell our friends and anyone else coming to St Sebastian. Bravo and thanks to...

I couldn’t recommend this restaurant more. You walk into a fairly unassuming restaurant and are taken back through a curtain to a small, intimate dining room with a few tables (and a fantastic playlist). The food menu is small but has more than enough choice for all appetites. We went for the a la carte- the bread & olive oil, grilled tomatoes and jamòn are outstanding and a must order, along with the tuna ceviche which was incredible. Following that we had the Iberico pork & the txuleta steak, both of which are out of this world. The pork is served with tortilla and a selection of salsas which are delicious, it’s perfectly tender and has a lovely flavour. The steak is by far the best I’ve had in my life, I would highly highly recommend getting this, if you can get a large steak to share. It’s served sliced up with the bone still there and it’s absolutely sublime. I always also think desserts at restaurants are a let down but this couldn’t be further from that, we tried all of them including the cheese and it was all 10/10. We also tried some mezcal & Armagnac suggested from our waiter and it was perfect. Overall, if you couldn’t tell this was a once in a lifetime meal which I will remember forever....

I never write reviews…. But this is a place I need to gush about! This place is WONDERFUL. We started off in the front of the restaurant where there is a casual and tasteful bar and seating area. Had a few appetizers and an awesome German wine recommended by the owner. Moving into the main dining room is like having the restaurant to yourself. There are few tables - wonderful ambiance. We had the chefs tasting menu - by the time the appetizer for that came we knew we were in for an incredible meal. After this we just had the server and owners recommend wine pairings which were spot on with what we liked. You’ll love this restaurant, the staff, the cuisine, the ambiance. It really has it all. We dined there for 3.5 hours because the experience was just so welcoming and relaxing. Would recommend 100% for those looking to have a unique cultural and tasteful experience. By far this is the best dining experience I’ve had in San Sebastián and...

We had a wonderful meal here probably our best in San Sebastián. Everything was beautifully presented and the flavour combinations were really fresh and delicious without being creative for the sake of it. I would take this over a Michelin starred meal any day. My favourite was the tuna ceviche which melted in the mouth followed by the white beans with clams. The iberico pork tacos were also scrumptious, I’ve never had pork cooked medium rare like that before but it was so tender and tasty. The sauces were also excellent - one for flavour and the other for heat. We enjoyed the Paloma and margerita, both were tasty and well made, especially appreciated the table side pour of the icy fresh margerita. What made this meal standout though was the service — super kind, well timed and warm. Wish we’d had more space to try more! You can reserve online, highly recommend booking.

The restaurant kind of gives you speakeasy vibe, as the dining room is located in the back room without windows. Decoration is cute but there is not enough aeration, fans would be welcome. Food wise, we took the tasting menu, that was superb! Innovative & super tasty, a blend of Spanish & Mexican flavours. We enjoyed everything from the starters to the desserts. Service was professional & friendly, except for the sommelier, who clearly lack of experience & knowledge. To be fair we only put 4 starts because of the wine list & wine service. Wine list itself should be improved by mentioning the grape varieties & region, as well as offering more premium options. The somm should get some extra training in order to be able to pair wine with the high quality level of the food!
